Re: AE Warehouse sale
I went last year...it wasn't that great. I came home with some new tires for cheap but that was it. Might be able to get a WC Re-Re for a good price though.

Re: Charger recommendations
Those are available in many different names. I have two of the IMAX B6's, which are identical to those. They work fine. Can't beat the price either.

Re: brushed versus brushless
I have a brushed 27T RC10 and a brushless 17.5 RC10. The brushless is quicker and runs cooler and longer. If you're looking for an inexpensive brushless motor, check out the Turnigy Trackstar motors. They are about $35 (vs $80-$100 for most others). If you don't have any lipos yet, I'd recommend SMC...

Re: What servo for my OIN racer?
I'll second the Protek 100s. I have one in my B3 and it's a great servo. I also use Savox 1258's and like those. I've bought several used 1258's for $40-$50.

We have a Hopper and a Hornet. Powered by a RS-540 and a cheap 6 cell is all you need to have some fun. My Hornet is one of my favorite runners.

Yeah, that's the problem with the hard bodies...It doesn't take very long for them to look like crap. They look so nice before that first run.

That makes sense. I hope after this they will consider an Optima re-release.

Re: On the bench...
I have my T4.1's transmission in a bowl to rebuild after the idler gear lost a few teeth. My RC10 Classic is in the midst of a motor change. Project "Dad's RC-10" transmission is in another bowl waiting for me to go through it. I swear, every time I clean the bench off, I cover it in parts...
