Re: RC10GT-E is born

Better brace that chassis. The nitro engine mounts perform that function, but with the e-conversion, you have nothing to reinforce across the cut-out on where the motor sits. Honestly, you should have sold that never run black tub on eBay and bought a blue flat chassis. You probably would have come ...

Re: Tamiya 801XT build plus electric conversion

make more arms!!! I probably will at some point, but it's a huge pain. I'm working a deal on a bigger & better machine; as of right now, everything is coming off of this: http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n117/Hunter2506/IMG_20140523_232324_2091_zps9102e618.jpg It's just slow going with these ...

Re: My New Champ Ed. Runner

Lookin' good! But no reason to use the wide front axles with those wheels. I run GT wide axles with JC Racing 5 spokes. I like the wide front track, makes them very stable. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n117/Hunter2506/IMG_1044_zpscc633136.jpg http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n117/Hunter2506/...

Re: "Other" hobbies (pics)

How are those all steel s&w autos? I've looked at those but I've always been afraid if buying another s&w auto. They're absolutely top shelf, IMO. Remember, the Sigma was S&W's entry level gun, designed to meet S&W performance standards at the lowest possible price point. They're no...

Re: "Other" hobbies (pics)

Anyways it sounds like you have some experince with guns, so post some up if you don't mind! Little bit. Lol. Been a life-long hobby for me, everything from civil war era and before to the latest combat tupperware, deep blue steel and walnut to high tech coatings and super-strength composites, as l...

Re: "Other" hobbies (pics)

Brocklee- I'm sure you've checked it, but be careful with that over travel screw. Could cause an engagement failure with the secondary sear, causing the hammer to follow. At best, this would result in the rifle being a single shot; at worst, it could cause slam firing. If you really want to improve ...

Re: RC10T2 drivetrain issues

It seems that this new motor technology is way more than the Stealth transmission technology can handle... Not at all. I have hammered 2.25:1 stealths with 4 pole 550 motors on 3S lipo, and 2.60:1 GT steaths with 42x68mm 1/8 scale motors on 4S, as well as .32 size nitro engines. In the latter, I di...

Re: Craiglist rc parts/cars posts, hilarity thread

That's some pretty slow acceleration, not to mention an incredible radio system and eyesight that would make an eagle feel like a bat.

Fuel remote controll car - $200 (ft lupton)

This rc is at a low price for its speed. It reaches its top speed at sixty miles. $200 or best offer.

Re: RC10T2 Hoarding

Here in The Netherlands even steak knives that are too long are forbidden  Sounds like most of Europe. Pure silliness, IMO. Attempting to regulate dangerous/deadly weapon ownership as a means of crime control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it more difficult to get a license. ...

Re: RC10T2 Hoarding

Personally I've never seen a T2 bulkhead break, only sheared ball studs. The stud was bent, but it broke the side out of the bulk head. I've had GT bulk heads break in the same manner. Won't happen again, though! I manage to break things that really shouldn't break, though: http://i110.photobucket....

Re: Tamiya 801XT build plus electric conversion

Well, the arms sold very quickly on flea bay. I'll keep the community here posted if I decide to mill more or possibly even contract a few sets to be CNC'd by a local guy.

I'm thinking the battery might have to much power for the gear box may have something slipping in their
Certainly a possibility. Check the slipper clutch and diff. Either one being too loose will be a problem getting power to the ground.

Re: Tamiya 801XT build plus electric conversion

Just a heads up, I decided to mill one more pair of front arms for these truggies, nicest set I've done so far, and I'm selling them. Probably won't do any more, as the profit margin sucks considering that it's about $15 worth of aluminum, they take me 11 or 12 hours/pair with the, and just a couple...

Re: RC10T2 Hoarding

but on the other hand somewhat heavy perhaps?? 36 grams. Quite a bit heavier than the stock plastic piece, but pretty insignificant. Rear bulkheads always seem to be an issue for me, which is why all of my GTs are either alloy or RPM. I'm sure I'll snap ball studs on this one, though, which is why ...

Re: RC10T2 Hoarding

Well, T2 was performing great today, right up until I broke the rear bulkhead (ball stud ripped out sideways). None to be found, either. But...........that's what I have a mill and a bunch of 7075-T6 stock for :) Kind of a challenging piece to machine, took about 3 hours. http://i110.photobucket.com...
