Re: Finally....well amost.

It was the mount. It would go down if you moved if that way it moved freely it just went back to that position. These were such a hodgepodge of nut, bolts, an screws that i think he had crossed it so it say crooked or whatever. I found a couple extra so I slapped it on. This one did have the ledge s...

Re: Finally....well amost.

I thought that but it's definitely the mount. It sits perfect till it's tightened down. I do need to play with the turnbuckles but I'm pretty sure the mount is cross threaded to an extent.

Re: Finally....well amost.

It's the caster block. When it's screwed down it, the arm lifts. The screws look to be going in at a slight angle. When the screws are loosen and I sit the caster flush, it's perfect. I wonder if the holes are a little off. I am sure that the forward hole is because I can get it to sit right with th...

Re: Finally....well amost.

I thought of pulling the shock to see if it drops a little more.

Re: Finally....well amost.

Thanks, I'm almost happy with it....haha

Yeah the wheels were a screw up.

I bought them on eBay brand new for $8 shipped for all four. Then I realized they weren't correct.

Any idea what's going on with the rear arm?

Done!!!!!! Updated pics

After about 6 months I am 95% done with my RC project. I started this to possibly take it to the Vintage Nationals this year, but I may just use it at the track as a runner. Most is original from a friend who gave me a ton of stuff. It originally started at as Graphite but realized I like the gold t...

Re: Spektrum-compatible Rx's

Sorry to necro and it's probably a moot point now but those Orange RXs from Hobbyking work great. I ordered 6. One was DOA but a small price to pay. Took awhile to get them but totally worth it.

Re: Resurrecting/Modernizing Your Vintage R/C's Electronics

I'm getting close to finishing mine. I need to rebuild the slipper and just figure out batteries. I'd go the straight down the middle route but I noticed that the holes are not in line with the rear bulkhead and are not countersunk. It's a AB chassis that is predrilled for the stealth so I assume it...

Re: Saddle packs

I never thought of them. I went with saddles because I was thinking of doing it in my SC10 4x4. It seemed an easier route.

I'm trying to standardize my batteries.

I'm not hell bent on them though.

Edit: you may be onto something

Saddle packs

I'm thinking of putting saddle packs in my gold tub. I was looking at the SC10 saddle pack cradle and think I could make it work. I've seen a couple with saddle packs but I can't remember where I saw them. Anyone use the B44.2 cradle? It looks promising. Those who have saddles, how do you keep them ...

Re: Servo tape for a servo

Yeah I've moved on from it on my servo. I've come with a couple things that make eleviate some space.

I'll stick with it on my esc and RX.

Re: Servo tape for a servo

Everything in these when I got the couple boxes of parts was taped down, servos, ESCs, battery cup, etc. All of it held too. I know it's more power than 15-20 years ago but stuff was solid.

Re: RC10 Newbitz build thread

They offered to take them back but I had them already in, mismatched, mixed together that it would've been more hassle. I've used a lot of them, a lot won't get used. I've had to counter sink some holes that had the Associated screws sitting proud.
