Re: My first crack at a restoration: RC10T

Yep. Can also use straight lye crystals. Probably sand it down a bit and have it reanodiezed. I guess I'm just curious if I should power coat it or anodize. I have a powder gun and that might be more ideal.

Re: SuperScale Diablo

Oh.. lol. Ill never drive these. No worries there. I have owned them for gees.. 10 years and they are decoration.. nothing more. I wouldnt be worried about crashing the car so much as ripping the drivetrain out. Your black car is fantastic! What is the story with the wheels? The only way to improve ...

Re: My first crack at a restoration: RC10T

So my first thoughts are getting the parts white and the chassis cleaned up. I have read about the peroxide/UV method and have access to a pretty intense UV machine I may try to use. Does anyone have any tips on the chassis? I am going to strip off the anodizing and then clean all of the scratches u...

My first crack at a restoration: RC10T

Hello there RC10 Talk world. I have been racing them for about 20 years but I am new to restoring RC Cars! This is going to be my first crack at this and rightfully so, I chose the first race kit I ever built. The RC10T. I originally learned of the RC10T with the article about Cliff Lett's cow paint...

Re: SuperScale Diablo

OHHHH I'm gonna need more pics of that black one.. :P

I was going to paint one of my NIP bodies black because I feel it will hide some of the inaccuracies in the sculpt and be shiny as heck... at some point I am going to revamp this car.

Re: SuperScale Diablo

Yah, I see there is a NIB one on ebay right now. dumb luck, I guess. I literally scoured the earth for these back in the day.

Jaguar is the same chassis indeed.

I actually just found out that I have two NIP bodies. One with a full plastic set. Wild.

Re: SuperScale Diablo

More shots.. as you can see, a very good condition example. Even has a vintage motor in it. I forgot there was gear in this thing as well. Whats neat about this car especially is that the chassis layout is quite similar to a real Lamborghini. Quad shocks in the back, rear motor, the bottom of the ch...
