Re: Hobbywing 1060 clones?
Just got a new HW 1060 in the mail today. This thing is small! And somehow better specs than any of the other brushed ESCs I have in my stash of (admittedly lower-end) so-far-unused ESCs. Makes me want to replace all of them with these things. Also makes me wonder if there's even a market for them w...

Re: Hobbywing 1060 clones?
So the Hobbywing 1060 is their own product that's being copied, not one of many they they themselves are putting their name on? That's what I meant.

Hobbywing 1060 clones?
I read some informative posts here about how good/cheap the Hobbywing 1060 brushed ESC is for a brush-motored basher. I looked around Amazon and eBay and found quite a few ESCs from random far east brands and vendors that all looked suspiciously like the Hobbywing unit and all had '1060' in their pa...

Re: No lube on 6-gear diff thrust bearing?
The thrust bearing should get a moly grease. The diff balls should have a silicone based lubricant. No matter the brand of diff. Never run them dry. As pointed out above the og manual doesn't state that you need to put any grease on the thrust. I never used any bitd , nor did any racers I know. It'...

Re: My RC12LW is missing diff parts. Inexpensive options?
It's a bit difficult knowing exactly what you are missing but will this help you out? 3 hole wheels fit this conversion. https://www.shapeways.com/product/VGLQFFT6M/vintage-team-associated-rc12l-wheel-hubs That looks promising, thanks. How durable are 3D printed nylon parts nowadays compared to the...

My RC12LW is missing diff parts. Inexpensive options?
This RC12LW eBay find I'm cleaning up is coming along pretty well but I'm going to have to address the diff problem. And by 'diff problem' I mean that it's missing half of it. Working from left to right, I have up to and including the diff balls and spur gear, but everything else is MIA. It looks li...

Re: Need an ID for a non-stock RC12LW front suspension
Cool. Thanks. Any idea what it does that the stock front end doesn't already do? Just adds a little stiffness maybe? I don't see any added adjustability. Or is it just 'different'?

Need an ID for a non-stock RC12LW front suspension
Greetings, all. It's been a while, and this is my first foray into the on-road forum. :) I bought a very used and sadly broken RC12LW Graphite off of eBay a few years ago and I'm finally getting around to giving it some love. The period electronics have been removed and I'm going to need help with s...

Re: RPM Ultra Chassis eBay pick up
Amazing what some cleaning, a well-done black dye job to remove the ugly, and correct reassembly can do for an RC10. Even a bright pink/red/blue/green abomination from the 80's can look surprisingly good afterwards. I've never seen any other dye color, even when done properly, that looks as good as ...

Whatever you do, put the rear arm mounts on the correct sides. ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Fast Attack / Wild One
I bought a Fast Attack Vehicle reissue a few years ago and I can confirm that yes, the rear end is a bit tight. I haven't looked at it since I built it, though.
It's a cool scale-ish design but it certainly is no performer.

Re: What happened to RC Driver magazine?
Well that's a shame. I'm a longtime reader of RCCA but I thought RC Driver was a better magazine and had subscribed to it for the past few years.
