What a build and story, really impressive stuff. That Datsun bodied Kyosho is totally new to me. The Scorpion sure has a lot of cousins!

Interesting handmade rims which came with my Scorpion back in '88. They have the Goodyear block pattern tyres on them but they appear to have stretched over the years and are now too large for the yellow slot rims. 'Rotten' rubber bands remain on the old rear shocks. Note the rudimentary shock riser to allow fitment of later Optima/Ultima shocks. This was made before 1988 when I bought it.
