Re: RE RE STEALTH TRANS

Well, I picked up the RPM case and it did indeed come with mounting screws, but, the Associated #6560 Stealth kit I ordered from Stormer just arrived and it came with a #6566 gear cover and a motor plate as well. WTH? Was it supposed to? Neither of those items are in the exploded parts view from Ass...

Re: Help Me Rebuild My Original RC10

Just tallied all of my expenses for this rebuild. Absurd. $1035.49 with taxes, shipping & exchange rates on applicable items. This doesn't include the car to begin with, but that was ~1986 so it doesn't count anyway. I have it all in an Excel spreadsheet but because it's so long, it's tough to p...

Re: Axial Racing any good?

So, my 4yr old still hasn't stopped talking about "his" Jeep (the one he doesn't have but is somehow certain he's getting it), so......I'm going to get it for him. I'll build it for Christmas though and it will be from Santa. With that much time ahead of me, I'd like to plan out the build ...

Re: Paint by Szac

I have to say, I thoroughly don't understand how you can do that with paint.....the multiple colours and crazy technical lines.

How the hell do you mask like that?

Re: Trim lines for RC10 Classic Pro Buggy Body

It looks like the top one I posted is trimmed a lot higher/narrower in the nose than the latter few. Is that right?

I'm finding mine is riding high, I think hitting the nose braces, making it tough to clip down. And I do have 2 spacer washers under the hold-down mount FTR.

Does the RPM cover need longer screws?

Re: gold pan: converting from narrow to wide front arms, par

I'm asking seriously, not condescendingly, why would someone need to order arm mounts (6208) to convert to wide arms? They're already on the car, right? Or do you NEED the 6207 ones?

Also, are there white long arms available?

I do prefer the white, but I also like the look of the plastic material used on the TA black one. Almost looks like it's coated in Line-X bedliner or plastidip.

Re: RE RE STEALTH TRANS

I ordered a 6560 kit before they were completely unavailable. Arriving via USPS air soon. Now, which gear cover is better? Associated #6566 - http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEDYZ&P=7 http://www.gpmd.com/imagel/a/lascc6566.jpg Or for double the price, RPM #70081 - http://ww...

Re: Gold pan, A stamp, box art by the HIVE...

Hey, with such perfect looking period correct box art cars, have you ever done the rear sway bar from the box art that runs through the body, kind of on top of the rear bulkhead?

Wow

Crazy to think that some people keep them in such good condition for decades, only to later "give them away."

Nice score.

Re: Help Me Rebuild My Original RC10

Ordered it....obviously. Haha I currently have my ESC punch setting (forget the other name for it) dialled back to only a little over half and reverse on a triple input and only at 20% of full power. My 6-gear will be coming out in near perfect, if not perfect, condition. Only a few runs since being...

Re: Help Me Rebuild My Original RC10

Thanks for all the replies, Nick.

$14.00 shipping to Canada from Stormer. Cheapest USPS shipping option available. :( And still cheaper than the other place I found, even though shipping from them was "free".

Re: Help Me Rebuild My Original RC10

I'm pretty sure Stormer Hobbies had them cheaper than the other big online retailers...They might still have a couple in stock. Edit...stormer hobbies has them (probably pretty limited quantities) in stock for 70 bucks. Just waiting for a shipping quote from them, but ya, nearly $20 bucks cheaper t...
