Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

I picked up these aluminum wheels with Clod sized tires but am not sure who makes the wheels or tires, or what they go to. I didn't have a ruler to measure the hex size either, but can do it later. Any ideas? http://i.imgur.com/vkipWJxl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/TQt8tyXl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/OHomnD2l...

Picked up some "new" shocks!

Couldn't believe these were still sealed. $10 for all... I also picked up a set of the Platinum rear shocks too. Always liked the look of them.

Re: Schumacher RS 4x4 Road & Track?

Very nice... even the box looks crisp & new! Yeah, it's a nice sturdy cardboard box, so it has maintained its shape very well. The Tamiya and Kyosho kits I recently picked up have a minor amount of box collapsing due to them being stocked on each other. But this Schumacher one looks new...

Re: Latest find. Kyosho Outlaw Ultima

Thank you for the compliments LoboNYC . Well you know how it is with the RC hive :D Looks great. That tire lettering is really nice. I had a chance to buy a NIB Outlaw Rampage real cheap but passed on it because it wasn't the Outlaw Ultima like this. :D Thanx WhoKnowsWho . I hope that LoboNYC doesn...

Re: Just a picture of one I don't see very often, NXT!

There's no point having a used r/c car sitting around if you don't have any good memories of it. I would use it or sell it. Do you think you could fix the problem? I probably could now with a proper wrench and such. It's low on the priority list though. I have a Clodbuster to modify and an Ofna to ...

Just a picture of one I don't see very often, NXT!

I bought this locally after it was already the old model, so I think it cost me a whopping $99 at the time. The darn Picco .12 engine was almost double that. I bought a nice Futaba FM radio just for this thing too. And it was never truly driven. I never managed to get the flywheel on correctly. It a...

Re: Tamiya 801XT build plus electric conversion

Ah, just found NitroRCX has some pretty cheap. Should work for driving around the neighborhood. If there's one thing I've learned in my 20-odd years playing with these things, it's that going cheap on tires only results in disappointment/aggravation. Buying a compound that's a little too hard becau...
