Re: Getting back into RC, When did everything become RTR?

What is a hobby and why does it have to require assembly? Maybe some people want to experience remote controlling a hobby grade scale car and not have to put it together from parts. Does that mean they are idiots and lazy. I mean really that kind of thinking is what has killed the hobby side of rc. ...

Re: Getting back into RC, When did everything become RTR?

Like building a kit takes very much skill. I mean it's simple screws and fasteners .You all make it sound like building a kit makes you a better person with godly skills. Nothing wrong with buying rtr. I bought a rustler 5 years ago and it is one of my favorite rcs. Honestly unless you are fully cus...

Re: Next Kyosho Rere?!!!!

Don't forget bent frame rails where the bell crank mounting screws go through the rails.
Mids had their own issues like stripped center gears. Broken gearboxes and belt slippage. Best bet is to avoid solid objects completely.a

Re: Kyosho Ultima find.

just the body mount post up front and the side roll bars slid into a 90 degree tab of sorts that stuck out the sides of the body and the rear roll bar mount to the motor plate are all that mount the body. The front part of roll cage that goes into dash was held in place by bushings and e clips.

Re: Reason for "cab-forward" modern bodies?

I think i like the cab forward body in the sense of its got an aggressive ugly look similar to a warthog bomber. Personally im a scifi geek so the cab foreard design seems like a natural evolution. its just a shame that they are forcing the style on the industry without alternatives Geuss its all ab...

Re: Reason for "cab-forward" modern bodies?

I like both classic and cab forward. I think that the main reasin for cab forward design is aerodynamics. I think that most vintage builders will have a harder time transitioning to new styles due to nostalgia and a desire to recapture their past through familiar association of memerobilia and are n...

That is sweet, don't forget to engineer some ghost lighting into it. I bet some strategically placed LEDs would be wicked. Its definitely awesome.

Re: Animikii...if its too loud your too old.

Wasn't expecting to get a debate about hearing loss, I'm not denying loud noises can damage hearing or that getting old is full of should of would of's. Honestly I figured that the fact that a 400lbs box slides effortlessly forward on tracks when the seats are folded down to gain full access to the ...

Re: Animikii...if its too loud your too old.

Should have called the thread "How to need hearing aids by the age of 40. Nope methinks it is named quite well. LOL lets just blame the super clean system for hearing loss while we run a weed wacker, leaf blower, or ride a Harley and think its not doing damage. or maybe just accept your old an...

Re: Animikii...if its too loud your too old.

Lol that meme is awesome, bet that hurt their ears. That must be why there is a rule in db drag competitions that prohibits the use of explosives. If it's too loud, you're too old. First time I heard that, I was in college. And, yes, it is true. Does this thing hit so low you have trouble breathing?...

Re: Anyone good with car audio?

Sorry for the novel, you can skip the green as they are basically Wiki definitions if you want, but I wanted to have a basis for what music is. A sound wave is the pattern of disturbance caused by the movement of energy traveling through a medium (such as air, water, or any other liquid or solid mat...

Re: Anyone good with car audio?

best to listen to what your ears are telling you, all the speakers you listed are good quality names but will sound different. Its best to go with the speaker that sounds good to you.

Re: Anyone good with car audio?

I think you will be happy going one channel per speaker, it will allow you to tune the 4s separately from rears. The pioneer speakers should work good, pioneer makes good quality produucts and should be a good match for the amp. when listening to different speakers its not so much volume you should ...
