Re: **Contest Questions/Comments**

At least I'm not the only one who thinks it's ridiculous to call our RC cars "rides"!
I have a couple of action figures that ride around in some of my rc's :P

Re: Breaking in a Green Machine 2

If your going to run brushed set ups I would recomend investing in a brush cutter and comm cleaning sticks or lathe. Get spare brushes, springs and caps as well. keep in mind that brushed parts can be rare and can be pricey. in the end the initial less cost than brushless adds up in maintenance and ...

Re: Breaking in a Green Machine 2

I run both brushed and brushless, and the brushless set up is soo much more friendly all around. No break in, no fouled comms, no melted power leads, no rf interference. no more regular weekly rebuilds. You do get longer run times. more power and carefree wheelin though. The brushed set ups work fin...

Re: My Maxxum FF

Sorry, yes it was just a curved piece of lexan that double sided taped to body detents. it was originally molded in with the body so you would have to get a full body or make something. There is an option to use an optima mid/lazer zx wing stay to mount a standard wing though.

Re: W5061 Universal Swing Shaft

Thought I might chime in and post some photos that show the difference between rocky/raider shafts vs optima/ultima. a pic is worth a thousand words so here ya go. optima on the left, raider on the right. http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o744/kyoshojoe1/DSCN9897_zps33fcb585.jpg Kyosho also has tw...

Widows 8.1 won't update

So after getting a virus from the RcTech by accidentally clicking on a fake java update thinking it was legit, I reloaded my OS and then upgraded from windows 8 to 8.1. To make a long story short after the upgrade my computer was not able to connect to updates, after waiting forever my comp showed m...

Re: brushed versus brushless

Brushless is by far superior to brushed. Essentially it is a more efficient system and results in less juice being turned into heat and basically equates to more power, longer run times and increased durability. The brush and commutator contact points are extremely inefficient and generate a ton of ...

nice write up. you didn't mention the tf-5 stallion/shin or tf-6. I would have to say they are a definite evolution of the classic tf line.

Re: Lego V-8 working engine

That V8 is sweet and I bet a blast to build. I always amazed at what can be built with legos. This is my masterpiece http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o744/kyoshojoe1/20140520_0023101_zps1ae6213a.jpg built this around 10 years ago, I grew up on legos and had and unfinished room over the garage set...

Re: traxxas latest gimmick

Honestly to reproduce those tones and frequencies you really don't need a big speaker, obviously you wont feel the ground shake like an 800 hp v8, but most of the sound is in the 500 to 6000hz range which a 1 inch speaker can easily handle, plus its hard to judge the audio quality of anything based ...
