Re: Kyosho OT16 Knuckles

Just chuck them and go for ZX6 c hubs, you'll never look back. http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x87/alcyon2sp/edited_1470551723271_zpscikk8hp8.jpg Cheap, easily available, much stronger than any of the older knuckles, even the ZX-5 ones pale in comparison. You can remove the CVDs without disassemb...

Re: Shodog's HPI RS4 Pro2

Really loved the pro2. It seemed like it kept winning and winning..wanted to buy one but my lhs carried the kawada sv10 so went with that instead. Hpi shot themselves in the foot with the pro3. I remember at my local track even the established pros were struggling with their pro3's after they ditche...

Re: Yet another Customised Optima Mid Custom Special

Ran my car for practice on sunday. The coming race is endurance 4 hr race, but this practice was still all out speed practice. http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x87/alcyon2sp/vlcsnap-2015-10-11-21h45m29s986_zpsxgjedhmh.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x87/alcyon2sp/vlcsnap-2015-10-11-21h44m42...

Re: Optima Mid ZX Hybrid build

Interesting battery position..but if thats tbe case you must remove one top deck standoff ad you will get more flex..not sure how the car will handle in a race track..for the rear camber link i suggest you u...

Re: Alcyon's RC10 Worlds Car modern racer build

Our friend Alcyon said he'd go kick modern 2wd butts - I assume he meant at the track. Paul I think you are right Paul. I'm looking forward to hearing how Alcyon does at the races. I'm not going to hijack his thread. If I want to discuss setting up a Rere WC as a "basher," I should probab...

3. The drive shafts are way too short, and will pop out at full droop. As a result, I had to limit droop drastically until it affaected handling so badly. ... So now.. my plans. 4. Remove all internal limiters from rear shocks, get them to 104mm length. The re-re Worlds rear CVA shafts are the corr...

Re: Joel 'Magic' Johnson's 1987 IFMAR 2wd winning Ultima

If am not mistaken, the JJ Ultima was actually closer to a turbo Ultima, with some trinity parts.
As usual, when we bought the Ultima we thought we would get world championship performance out of the box ..

Alcyon's RC10 Worlds Car modern racer build

I got my first associated car ever, the RC10 worlds in mid February. I was hooked after a friend of mine Foong, let me drive his, and I was instantly hooked, it was so easy to drive, unlike another buddy's TLR 22. So I bought it , but did not have the time to really set it up properly and fix the fl...

Re: Yet another Customised Optima Mid Custom Special

I had a really bad day on sunday the 12th of april, what was supposed to be a good showing on race day turned out to be a disaster of biblical proportions. The organizer decided not to run any finals , so we had 5 heats and from those 3 best heats will be totaled for finals result. I did not have ti...
