Re: Traxxas TRX-3 Opinion?
Mate, I owned one and with a hydra drive on there isnt much out there that can keep with it, that is if you set it up correctly and adjust your driving style for the hydra drive. When Team Traxxas gave me the oportunity to own one, the first race was on a dusty dry dirt track and I have to admit an...

Looks like rain is coming soon. Always been fascinated by lightning... To really appreciate right click the image and open link in new tab, then hit the + sign. Lightning.2.JPG Chuck Sweet pic! Re: What's in the mail? Or, What are you currently waiting for?
From FleaBay, pounced on a BIN. Had to change my shipping address though  Anyway, I have high confidence that Lunsford got the lengths correct. Unlike Tecnacraft. Phooey! But Traxxas always did have a paltry hop-ups aftermarket, with their relative flash-in-the-pan "racing" efforts. ...

Re: Novak black tape
Hey, does anybody know what type of black tape was used by Novak for holding their esc's and receivers together? Thanks. It's buried around here somewhere in a thread, but I guess some folks have used the correct width "pin stripe" tape. I guess if you could find that in a black mylar....

Re: 2.2" wheels for TRX-1 & TRX-3
Probably these, although you should confirm with them. https://www.jcracingproducts.co.uk/wheels/traxxas-1/traxxas Even though they are in the UK, my orders have always arrived surprisingly quick. Just note that the fronts are the narrow design. You will need matching tiles. Schumacher and Pro-line...

Re: TRX-3 Build
Got the front brace made. 20161228_121223~2~2.jpg I know this is an old thread, but did you have this made or make it yourself? any tips on making one for myself? Well I got the fiberglass from an old TRX-3 top plate, then measured the hole spacing and determined the correct dia. drill bit. I think...

Thanks Phin!Phin wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 11:23 pm The cups and collars are AE but the shocks are not. They have no hex under the cap. They're possibly Parma (I think they may have sold a blue shock like those but not 100%), or re-ano'd Duratrax or Kyosho golds. Could also be off some Bluebird model I don't know about.

Re: Identification of shocks on a rc car!
Thanks for your reply! The collars and lower mounts are indeed from RC10 Team Associated but the body I don't know. These shocks are maybe a mix. They could be a mix, but with the collars and lowers with the spring diameter on those bodies....I still think AE of some variety. It was pretty common t...

Re: Identification of shocks on a rc car!
Someone will swoop in with a definitive answer with bore and stroke specs, but given the collars and lower mounts, those are Associated shocks maybe from a GT truck or some "sport" or "team" model?

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Yeah, no paint "yet". I kinda want to farm it out. It seems like a new from kit on a near pristine factory short chassis build deserves more than a two masking tape stripes three colors MAX rattle can afterthought job (but only because I'm not 14 years old now). Thinking clear wing though!

Slammed that Cirrus clear servo into the SWB TRX-1. Kind of a corny theme of clear-to-smoky electronics, but if you got 'em all, why not? "shoulder shrug emoji"
