Re: Mike's 91 stealth build

Okay so maybe you're using Niki's arms with Fred/Justin's caster blocks or is the other way around? I'm curious how these parts differ and what are the pitfalls when combining them. I think it's great that we have choices now as this could add a new level of individuality to everyone's builds. Fred...

Re: After 4-yrs...my '91 Stealth has begun

Just had a new round of chassis parts arrive on Sunday  Are these the cncrc chassis? No this is the replica that Fred Swain and I designed with help from Curtis at Associated. I CAD drafted the chassis, towers, standoffs and tranny brace while Fred did all of the suspension parts. We start...

Re: Indoor Dirt track - Fairfield, NJ

This track is 20-min from me and I've been going for the last month. M4 primes are the tir of choice on the clay and they fo change up the layout. Nice place with pretty cool staff. They just had a vintage race last Friday night.

Re: Mike's 91 stealth build

I had the same thoughts about mine. The printed white parts didn't look right. But I never dyed them and after 2 years on the shelf, the Shapeways parts have yellowed a little and are a bit closer to the other AE nylon parts on the car (battery boxes, trans case, etc). Not a total match, but close....

Re: Mike's 91 stealth build

Looks great! I pulled out a pair of brand new 10t arms and took a photo side by side. Onve you get them dyed it will really feel like it's coming together.

Be careful sanding as it causes issues with how any future dye is absorbed. I'd try that white dye first.

That's an understatement. Fred and I are obsessive over the details- he's still agonizing over the bellcranks. That said, I couldn't be happier with the end result.

Re: Mike's 91 stealth build

Great looking build so far. Excited to see it progress. That donor 10T looks super mint. Score! Who made the NIX chassis? I have 2 Composite Craft Pro RC10T chassis. I know the materials are different, but the design and style seem quite similar. Is there a connection between them? Does anyone stil...

Re: After 4-yrs...my '91 Stealth has begun

The TH-1 adapers come with 4 holes but you can run them on wheels which only have two mounting holes. There were likely older adapters with only two mounting holes which I believe were more common with earlier Yok wheels.
