Re: Project XX

I have just disassembled the transmission, cleaned greased and put it back together smooth as silk. In regards to the slipper, is the standard dual slipper good enough for modern power or should I put the Associated RC10 B5 slipper on?

Oh and after 3 days hunting, I found my missing shock, kids...

Re: Project XX

It is a shame yes, not sure why it was done, looks like it was literally ripped off with some pliers. The cuts are actually slightly raised and not sunk (like it looks in the photo) so doesn't need filling, but filing. I won't be using velcro straps so I won't need the slots. Think the best thing to...

No it will be used, the reason for new parts is that I want to build it up looking tidy and as new as possible, the existing parts will be used as spares.

Re: Project XX

So last night, the lights were dim, the kids were in bed, a glass of wine lay on the side. I looked over to the wife and thought yes, yes this is the night baby, it's time... to build my new shocks! http://i.imgur.com/TE5f3pe.jpg An hour later I had them done, now just to put the oil in. It was at t...

Re: My Losi XX CR Kinwald rebuild thread

MIP part number for the Kinwald CVD's is A9923, they are the blue-ish coloured ones that came as standard with the Kinwald, not sure what the shiny CVD part number is.

Re: Project XX

To be fair to the previous owner it was quite clean, I've just gone over it again with a fine toothbrush. Got some new front and rear graphite arms on their way now, as well as a new graphite rear shock tower. Anyone know what the thread/pitch is on the shock bodies? I want to get some blue shock ad...

Re: Project XX

Forgot to ask, what's the difference between the black and grey shock bodies? Just a general update in colour?

After a quick clean here and there, it's ready to be stripped and some new NIP bits to go on.

Not for me, I'm rather poor when it comes to design and finish.
