Re: ta02t

I ended up swapping the front gear diff back in it and will put the ball diff in the m05 im piecing together via amazon. I might put the silver can back in it and shove the sport tuned into the tt01 that I bought it for until I can control the f 150 better. I really think it is the tires. When I get...

Re: ta02t

I have pics, just cant upload as they are apparently to big. The aluminum propshaft is a gpm unit from asiatees.com. the diffs are quite tight, I dont know much about setting them, just cranked em up so there was no slop, guessing I should back them down a bit, eh? What is the proper procedure for t...

hot esc

Im new to the brushless motor/esc thing, I have a trf 201 with a tamiya tble02s and a atomik 8.5 4400 kv motor. Had it geared with the stock spur which I believe is 69 teeth and a 22 pinion the car went good and the esc was warm to the touch, so I went to a 24 pinion and it is peeling the tires off ...

Re: what to get

I like the Tamiya ESC's very much - I have had no problems with them. I use several (101BK, 104BK, 103BK (dual motor), I use silver-can or black-can (Sport Tuned) motors, and 2s LiPo batteries. I have had no issues with excessive heat or any other issues. I also use a TBLE-01 Brushless ESC w/TBLM 1...

Re: what to get

I am aware of the subpar kit supplied esc tamiya unloads on the general public, I think the lunchbox now has the tble 02s brushless esc and the scorcher has the 105bk if not the tble02s as well, but I am prepared to be corrected. The kits are wrapped and sitting in front of me now I dont want to giv...

Re: what to get

I have decided to stick with the neo scorcher for the boy as there are many upgrades available and it comes with the tble02 esc and a torque tuned motor I think, I will hook him up with some bearings when we build it. For my daughter I think I am going to get the lunchbox and upgrade it as she learn...

Actually the 8.5 is going in my tamiya trf 201, no way id risk grenading that sweet sweet triumph, it goes great with the super stock 34 and a 7.2 1800 nimh.

Re: Lazer (choo choo choo sound of cheesy 80s sci fi) Zeee E

That lazer rips, what are you running for a motor/battery? I just ordered a leopard 8.5t to stick in my trf201 that I just built, want to see how it stacks up againt my kyosho triumph with a super stock 34, for what it is the triumph is a pretty good car.
