Re: How to decrease rear track on a Dual Sport?
I have not locked down on a set of dogbanes yet, lol I am waiting on a set of Tamiya 32mm to arrive. If they don't work, I found a set of adjustable dog bones. And if they doesn't work, I am going to cut a pair to size and solder back together with a brass tube. Oh wait, I have one more solution. I ...

Re: How to decrease rear track on a Dual Sport?
Let me clarify. The hex adaptor fits the axle. The HPI vintage wheel does not slide far enough on axle because the axle goes from 3/16" to 1/4". Thus the hex adaptor does nut fit all of the way into the back of the wheel. http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/dennisbaxter2/media/IMG_5449_zps8e...

Re: How to decrease rear track on a Dual Sport?
I also noticed that my rear hex adaptor does not seat all the way in the wheel hub. It appears as if this is deu to the axle stepping up for 3/8" to 1/4". Has anyone else experienced this? If I drill out the hole in the wheel to 1/4" I can get the hex adaptor to seat properly. Thoughts?

Re: Need Help Picking an ESC & Motor
Thanks guys for clearing that up for me.
I spoke to someone at Team Associate and they told me that a DS could not handle anything over 3900kv.
It's reassuring to hear that other are running faster motors in similar cars.
Not restricting my criteria to under 3900kv opens up many more options!

Re: How to decrease rear track on a Dual Sport?
I swapped the hub carriers so that the right is on the left and vice-versa.
I still have toe-in so I guess that means that my arm mounts are 3 degrees.
In any event, the problem has been resolved.
Thanks Phin!

Re: How to decrease rear track on a Dual Sport?
To tell you the truth, I don't really know what have at this point, lol
I think I may have angled hub carriers and arm mounts.
What''s the best way to determine if and by how much they are angled?
There does not appear to be any markings other than "L" and "R".

Re: How to decrease rear track on a Dual Sport?
So the B3/T3 rear hub carriers are working out great accept they have 3 degrees of toe-in.
Is that considered a lot of toe-in?
Do I nee rear toe -in?
Is it possible to get the same carriers w/ 0 toe-in?

Re: Need Help Picking an ESC & Motor
the MMP combo is total overkill. im not sure it would fit in the car too. I have the Sidewinder 3800 combo in one of my buggies and its a lot of power for the car. Its a good bang for buck combo but dont expect to use the motor fan w/o cutting away a large chunk of the motor plate. no real opinion ...

Need Help Picking an ESC & Motor
Any suggestions on what kind of ESC Motor combo I should be running for my RC10 DS? As of now, I am looking for brushless and non-censored. I will not be competing, will be running on asphalt and plan on using a LiPo battery. Here is what I am looking at so far: Associated XP SC700-BL/Reedy 540-SL 3...

Re: Turnbuckles and Ball Cups
Thanks a million for the crash course in rod ends! This info is extremely helpful and much appreciated! The only reason why I wanted to go with metal rod ends is fo looks. I have seen a number of really cool builds that used metal rod ends. I think that I may have had my terminology mixed up in my o...

Re: Metal Ball Cups and Turnbuckles
Thanks for the advice!
I checked out RC4WD and they have a pretty wide selection.
I am pretty sure I found what I need.
Is an M4 rod end overkill for an on road car?

Turnbuckles and Ball Cups
I am looking to upgrade the ball cups and turnbuckles on my RC10 Dual Sport.
However I am not sure which brand to go with or what sizes I need as there seems to be a wide range
I am leaning towards all metal and I want to stick with black for both the ball caps and turnbuckles.
Any suggestions?
