Re: Battery choice !?!
There's no way Life batteries will get adopted for stock with only 6.6v, should be ok for mod with a low turn motor. Although they are pretty heavy, I like how you can get a Lipo that's only 230 grams and put that 100g of ballast where you need it. Or in the case of an RC10T it's still 200g overweig...

Re: team blue groove
Maybe hes just got a basic vacuum former running on a vacuum cleaner and heating with kitchen oven like you'd see on youtube, which is incapable of forming polycarbonate anyway. Polycarbonate isn't that expensive compared to alternatives just way harder to form.

Re: team blue groove
The only reason I am considering one myself is that Samurai bodies are very HTF and for about $20 I'm willing to take the risk. I think the last NIB one I watched on eBay went for over $80-- and it's two tiny bits of lexan. You might want to contact Thomas (BUGLE) on this forum with regards...

Re: 870c project
I've got some 91 driveshafts, they don't look like they have alot of life left in them though. I'll probably just make some CVD's. Much better especially on the front.
Only got 1 set of pink rims they seem to be the 'ROAR' ones they measure 2.14", so the latest tyres are a bit loose on them

Re: 870c project
Small update, i'm going to go with the later offset rims because they're easier to find in 2.2". So I was either going to have to make longer rear arms, use 91 works arms or find something else. Figured B44/B4 arms were about the right shape if they were reversed, after removing alot of materia...

Re: 870c project
Recently discovered the most awesome transmitter ever made, so I got one to use with this car. 75MHz is illegal to use in Australia though so i'm going to convert it to spread spectrum with a Corona 2.4GHz module.

Re: possible way to mount modern 2.2" hex wheels to your YOKE.
If the mounting faces are the same width front and back and the rear ends up closer to 250mm you could take some rear wheels, cut off the inner tyre mounting bead to narrow them and stick them on the front.

Re: 870c project
It's alright Konich i'm going to have to make a custom rear shock tower along with the new bulkhead caps. For the spur gear i'm just going to make a custom shaft & slipper clutch to suit B4 spur gears. Trying to make it as reliable a runner as possible. Yeah Jason looks like the front tamiya pul...

Re: rc10 gears
They also changed the tooth profile which is probably why they changed the part number since it'd have a new mould, runs so much smoother than the white ones.aeiou wrote:Welcome wyattroa.
Just as an FYI - Associated changed the part number from 6613 to 6614 when they started making them in the black nylon.

Re: 870c project
Gonna get a body from mr lexan, haven't decided whether to get the protech or 870c body, probably have to get both! It's the same tooth profile as the B34 pulleys so I should be able to make a pulley out of delrin :D I was looking at locking the one way, looks pretty simple. I'd just need to make a ...
