870c project
Just got this, needs a bit of work. The rear diff pulley is screwed. Rear shock tower seems to have been broken and repaired by gluing a washer to each side. Not a huge fan of the body that came with it! Bulkheads look to be ok. Is the only place the bulkheads crack the shock tower mounts? I was thi...

Re: lipo question
Check if the charger has a storage function. If you tell it you have a 2200mah battery it'll just charge it at 2.2 amps instead. If you don't have a storage function you could fully charge it then discharge it and watch until its drained 1600mah out of it for a 4000mah battery. Personally I just lea...

The mould is sorted, I'll have some made next week. Seems a pretty good fit with thicker polycarbonate, no chance of it falling off.

Yeah B3 and T3 are the same, the pin hole is offset more to the outside than the 10T/GT/T2/B2 one.

Re: quick question on rulux wheels?
Yeah the BJ4 used Losi front steering knuckles, axles and wheels so they just used Losi wheels, then the B44 is based off the BJ4 so it ended up the same. Maybe it's more durable to do it that way due to the crazy positive offset the wheels run. If HPI use 12mm hex on their wheels they've got these ...

Re: Strange RC10T build
Yeah they changed the arms to those late in the 10T production and through T2 production. Also changed to those on the GT I guess at the same time as the 10T and stayed that way til the GT2 came out.
Spur gear looks the same as what originally came on my T2 and T3

Re: Suspension Theory
I would have thought that the semi trailing arms would be worse for rough tracks due to the toe changes as the arm moves, effectively bump steering at the rear. The reaction of the suspension is going to be based on where the shock is attached to the arm and how stiff the shock is set up. Surely a l...

Also known as acetone which comes in large bottles at hardware stores cheapJPAE07 wrote:nail polish remover on the inside of the wheel to test. CA glue remover works well too. Might get a little expensive since it only comes in small bottles.
