Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Machined up a special diff sleeve for the Navajo because it doesn't have one. DS.jpg I finally started building my backyard track last month. Just doing a bit each weekend as time allows. I've been shifting dirt with a wheelbarrow to make the berm. This is how much has been done so far. 3.jpg This a...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I did a short trip to Vosgienne Vintage RC event yesterday... I've put everything in place and my lipos are going to storage mode currently. As usual I'm sharing few pics of the event (there might be even some vids later on)... There was a lot of Manx TT from Loisirs Creations RC. We raced together ...

Very cool build. Violent acceleration might not be the most efficient way to get down a track, but it sure is fun.

Also... Spur gear module is .8mm

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - October 2024 ** - Winner - TheDiamondOne

I'm in My entry is the Marui Racing Buggy, aka Hunter prototype (at very least, this is the inspiration, from a single picture) https://i.imgur.com/X7RrfXd.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/hXNwRk6.jpeg Again, this is relying a lot on 3D printed parts : At the very exception of the wheels (orginals from a Ma...

Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar

Hello, I did a few buggies in CAD, I did reinvent some partially... Next year the first event of the year I intend to attend is going to span over 4 days early May (8th-11th), and the thematic of the event is "Creation and System D". I'm not sure how it would translate in English, but basi...

Re: TAG Navajo (Pro)

Epoxied carbon fibre strips to the top of each side of the chassis for added strength. 1.jpg Kyosho Tomahawk front shocks have also been installed. Note the carbon reinforcing plates behind the tops of the shocks. I think without them the shocks would eventually tear out. 3.jpg These G10 plates were...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

Started going through the pics from the past week in Rhode Island, and these are just a few from mostly the house where we stayed. We stayed right at a point, so had the Atlantic to the west of us, and an inlet cove with marina just to the east. If it wasn't a constant 20+mph wind, I would have hund...

Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar

A quick test print to ensure it is printable, and the clamp works... (and yes, I added some cryptic message on some parts :-) ) https://i.imgur.com/1gW86Ey.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/0ntvrpX.jpeg I will just modify the master part of the front train in order to make it easier to position within the cl...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Can't say no to a NOS Twister - the first aftermarket motor I ever bought. I still remember being in the living room breaking it in with a pair of D batteries in a radio shack battery holder, likely burning some spots in the end table from soldering. :o

A friend that's getting rid of his RC stuff sent me a pile of vintage stickers. Stickers are my favorite way to fix my paint jobs!

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

More track progress. The pictures were taken from the roof. The driver's stand when built will be a lot closer. The good news is when driving you face South. No sun in your face at any time. The straight and berm are 3.5 metres wide. The track narrows after the berm to 3 metres wide until the main s...
