Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - March 2025 ** - Winner - silvertriple
My builds are quite involving, and they are taking time : on this one it reached another level. Not a single original part was used. Lot of 3D prints and home made parts, some replacemnt parts widely available, and we have a *not* Zerda, and it took about 2 years and a half to get there between the ...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
Started to play a bit with Makera CAM... I decided to prepare the file to cut another pancar 1/12 chassis... This is fairly easy, as I did this already in another CAM software (Galaad) to cut one using the CNC machine at the fablab. Makera CAM is fairly intuitive, and that is easy. https://i.imgur.c...

Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar
The work is not over, yet : I still need to take care of the driver and the mirrors... And as well, finish the electronics installation (not yet done on this chassis). https://i.imgur.com/DWzRC9m.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/9BF0T9C.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/9JTJbG3.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/9b04Bsq.jpeg ...

Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar
1/12 driver is so small... I decided to cheat as I did not want to paint the face... The body is a Hunter driver body scaled 80% and the the helmet is the one I did for the Super Wheelie, scaled smaller than 80%... Not sure how much I scale it down, but it is small. https://i.imgur.com/aRhy159.jpeg ...

Re: Robb's Bolink Invader O/R
Then moved on the electronics. I like "matching" electronics, which usually came on older RTRs, so they aren't great, but I just really like how they are a matching set. I had this Airtronics leftover from something, so I went with it. ESC and motor got new wire and plugs, again from stock...

Big Jim Greenemeyer Motors
I've collected enough different styles of Big Jim motors (6 so far) that I thought a dedicated thread should be started. I've seen other versions that I don't have. Feel free to add your Big Jim Greenemeyer motor here too. First some related paperwork. . 1000015109.jpg 1000015116.jpg 1000015135.jpg ...

Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar
I spend some time over the week-end to work on this bodyshell... It's not perfect yet and still requires some minor improvements... I finished the part under the bodyshell... https://i.imgur.com/itgspBk.jpeg As last time, I printed something to help the arch cut at the rear (on the front it is not n...

Re: Predictions for the RC hobby in 2035
Vintage pan cars come roaring back to life in popularity.....rere's, vintage races, etc.....and my kids make a mint selling off my stuff, to cover my funeral, the open bar tab at the wake and a 70's rock cover band.
