You really do amazing work! Why did you put the O-ring under the receiver plate? Is it just to keep the plate off the chassis to prevent scuffs?

I'd have that receiver plate mounted with at least 2 attachment points. With just one, with an offroad buggy, it's guaranteed to start swivelling once that single mounting screw loosens up a bit. Waiting on a battery. Ironically, the one time I actually want to use a Tamiya plug, not a single battery I own has one left on it.

I added some vintage Futaba gear - the S132H servo is probably close to the time of the original Optima, to my recollection in 1984. The MC116 ESC and receiver would be a little later, I believe 1990.

My first glued and trued tires. I give them a solid A for Acceptable. Far from perfect, but good enough.
