I just recently gave this some more love , AYK Sidewinder with Nosram Tomahawk ESC , Futaba 27 meg RX , Tamiya RS540SD Black Sprint motor and gave it all a strip and polish . Tap on the pictures to enlarge them , best of luck everyone

Got a bucket list holy grail in today folks, it's it real decent shape, even the tires....gonna do a full resto on this one....even got an original M480RS motor for it...This truck came with a Associated blue label stock piece. The bottom screw for the motor plate ? The gearbox is raised about 2mm and that screw can now be accessed from above the chassis although there is still a cut out in the chassis for the hump in the gearbox .

Got the tires glued , servo ,RX and ESC fitted and took her for a (very short) maiden run . Kind of a doomed morning , firstly the servo I fitted at first was glitching like mad , think the position pot has failed so I fitted the only spare I had to hand and it's a really slow one yawn but at least ...

Got a pair of Fastrax 95mm shocks to try out , actually quite nice so I'll probably get another set for the front , forgot to take pictures before fitting .

Warm today so off down the lake for a swim.
