Re: JRX2 Parts on Shapeways
I've got a Shapeways shop myself , the plastic is on par with vintage parts for strength , not as good as modern carbon plastics , as above it really depends on the designer of the part , it works like this , I design a part and personally I home 3d print everything to be sure it's right , then I up...

Re: Bormac's Nichimo Midships 443 WDS - An unexpected project
A thing I've started doing recently that's really helped me with measurements is to do the math in Fusion , if you need a 2.5mm hole with its circumference 5mm from an edge you can do the little bit of math 2.5÷2+5= in the measurement window so instead of doing the math elsewhere and drawing a line ...

Re: JRX2 Parts on Shapeways
Shapeways parts are high quality but can get expensive pretty quickly. I haven’t tried any for the Jrx2 because I have wanted to keep those cars original. There are still a lot of common Jrx2 parts out there for restorations without resorting to 3d printed parts. Not for long , with the 1/16 re re ...

Re: What If ?
This didn't go as well as I'd hoped , had a nightmare with the masking , I like the concept and think it could look good but I'll have to get another body to have another go .

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
Great thread idea. This is my holy grail ESC, that I managed to pick up a couple of years ago in new condition - a Century Systems OZIFET. I had one of these in the late 80's in my PB Mini Mustang... was my first ESC (you know what they say, you never forget your first!). I think these were made in...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Hard to get a good picture of this, holding it in one hand and taking photo with tablet in the other and a dog (that suddenly weighed two tuns and could not be moved) on my lap , it's meant to be a Hot Laps wheel for the Yokomo 834b .

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
Right now I'm on a Relay ESC tip so it's my Nosram Tomahawk , really wish I could find my first ESC a Downsway Turbo Relay but they were not around for long and the ESC was nothing but trouble with the relay constantly carboning up and needing cleaning , still I wish I could find one . Re: 1985 Marfet ESC (Pre-Nosram)
Thought that looked familiar , there's just a smudge where you have MFT but the circuit design is the same , we already talked about this one , it came with the PB Mini Mustang I have . IMG_20220607_212820_882.jpg IMG_20220607_212902_285.jpg I've removed a burnt out FET and two of the heat sink plat...
