Looks daunting all those parts needing finishing ready to paint .... Have you thought about a resin printer for the smaller detailed parts ?

What temp are you printing the nylon at ? Could be a little cool and not layer bonding enough , that or try some CF Nylon as the layer bonding is so much better .

Without a diff it puts way more load on the driveline , I tried with my yo-clone-oh to have no one ways up front , it just goes through the chain sprocket in no time , it would be the same locking up the diff , ok if the rest of the driveline is up to it but not really a good idea.

I'd have cheated with the front gearbox top fixing , I'd have got it pretty close then printed a test piece to see how badly off it was then corrected the model and gone again lol

I think I'd try baby oil on cheap tires first and check the results after 6 months before I'd try on rare vintage tires . Oils will soften and clean rubber but then it swells and turns to jelly ( gelatine for you US folks not jam ).
