Been gettin festive so i drew these simple Tree decorations up and printed them.

A new belt and spur gear arrived today so I swapped out the belt and WOW what a difference ! I need so much less tension on it , probably because it has teeth on it lol !

Looks like you have a good start already ! I'll be watching closely as I'm a bit of an 834b addict , I now have three , a shelf queen , a racer like your planning and one I 3d printed , and yes I agree the prices are insane !

Looks to me like you may be short of a rear gearbox , you have a front and centre but no rear gearbox , unless this was a front wheel drive car ? But that's really odd if it only has one ways up front , to my mind your missing the rear gearbox and it may have been a twin chain setup , a short chain ...

Those knuckles look a lot like the alloy hot shot knuckles I had on my old racer , possibly TMS knuckles ? If you imagine the chain drive proto as the earlier chassis then at an earlier stage of development more out sourced parts might have been used that would be made in house later on .

That's turned out nicely I always fancied a boat .

The first one is exactly like the PB two speed but fitted with a second one way bearing as I tried but its for a nitro engine that's incapable of running backwards so it could never lock the transmition , the second later one seems to be like the HPI version or probably vice versa . I love learning ...

That's just all so cool , well done with the research and thanks for sharing it , giving the first test drive to the original test driver , well that needs a video !
