Re: Coyote Rethink
A little chassis rectification to fit the suspension mods and the top arm/shock mount modified to be able to mount a shock tower . chassis v48.png Ultimately the chassis may look very different as I'm thinking of moving the motor to one side , the battery to the other and using a mostly two deck cha...

Re: Coyote Rethink
Test print of parts , the chassis plate is only the front section and the cut is a vertical cut so you can use it as reference.

Re: Again another Marui project : Super Wheelie and Big Bear!
I agree, that looks fantastic! It looks like you are using sintered nylon (polyamide)? By chance, have you performed any durability testing on your gears? I was thinking about designing a printed diff gear for my 934 project (52t and either 48dp or mod 0.6, brushed motor, 2s power) and I was wonder...

Re: Again another Marui project : Super Wheelie and Big Bear!
I think you have to think of them as a reasonable price and no longer a limited supply, in short you can drive like it's the 80s again and when they fail buy another set . Very good point, @ Dadio , I'll add the idle gear separately on shapeways as well, as they will be the weak point with the set....

Re: The dog thread
My neighbor's 15 year old Shepherd, Chip. I looked after him at their place most weekends for the past 10 years while they visited their 2 daughters. He had to be put down for multiple health issues a couple of weeks ago. He was a good buddy. Head the size of a horse. He would eat rib bones like th...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I've either seen that one before or it's a kit , I copied it somewhat on my first Dogfighter but didn't like it much , threw the chain in reverse almost every time and over tensioned the chain.

Re: Coyote Rethink
Started the major chassis mods , the aim is to lay the motor to one side rather than have it right up top in order to lower the centre of gravity , the battery will be a standard shape and lay flat on the opposite side and more centrally , as close to the prop shaft as possible in order to balance t...

Re: Marui Samurai 4WD - Another SilverTriple's journey...
If your running printed wheels as well there's more potential for balance problems , I got obsessed for a while designing and 3d printing spinning tops with turbines in them , looked like UFO's , idea being that the turbine would draw air in the top and out the bottom to give an air cushion underne...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
This finally arrived while I was on holiday. Already fitted the roll bar windscreen posts and front body mount before I took the pictures , now I just have to close all the new holes that Tamiya made in it to fit the re re chassis.

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...
That's bad luck Mark , the first one looks great and for running not shelving it's perfect , some of the cheap tires I ran in the 80s had no better finish , you could use one of the failures to try painting a light coat of resin on the outside and curing it to remove blemishes .
