Happy Halloween all! Smoke on the water when I left for work this morning(fog). Now it'll be stuck in my head all day.

My Kyosho Javelin

Thought I’d share some pics of my Kyosho Javelin I just got into runner status. I installed a Hobbywing 1060 ESC (fit great but needed to extend the Battery/motor wires) and a OG Kyosho 480 gold motor. I also added a couple upgrades, a carbon top plate and shock mounts to break up some of the gold… ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I missed one damaged on ebay by 0.01 EUR at the last second of an auction few months back, and I stopped bother searching for one since then. Anyway, I had a model, so I should be able to print one at some point... And on Sunday, someone seeing my chassis alone in a picture without a bodyshell gentl...

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)

As mentioned in the post thread, I received today a bodyshell I was no longer expecting to find, and it is in very nice state... I was not long to put it on its second half (previous owner told me "I have abodyshell who is bored and searching for its second half" ). https://i.imgur.com/J3Y...

Then the important part is the temper, hopefully you tempered it, taking it between 700-400 degrees F (depending on how hard you want it) for a part that size, about an hour. You want it tough so I would temper at about 50...

Re: Ten4?

as one of the two people that designed the Ten4, I wish you good luck at making tens of dollars off this project LOL. Everyone wants it until they are for sale, then crickets until you discontinue it, in which case people act like they want them again.

Re: DIY rocking horse manure

Just out of curiosity, how do you treat the part to harden it? I have no room to add a lathe somewhere currently, but seeing this make me think about it in my next tool investments (priority at this stage is about an injection press, just because I would be able to do so much things I can't do righ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy!!!! And Joel even signed my box! 😁

Hopefully this doesn't develop into the need to also turn an original into a race replica. I already got rid of the Ultima that I had for that cancelled plan.

Another 80s Racer coming back

Hey guys, I used to race as a teenager back in the day in El Paso, Texas. My first car was a Tamiya Superchamp, then I got an RC10 right when it came out. My dad lived in SoCal in the 80s, so when I would visit he would take me to all the OG tracks around Los Angeles. I would kill to still have all ...
