I had a similar problem lining up the Sand Rovers bottom gearbox section (very similar design) , took me a while to realise the error was because of draft angles to help release the chassis from the injection mould , it really depended on where i measured it . Yes I tried to take that into account....

So, this little gem showed up today. Seems like just a little piece of bent zinc steel, but hard to come by, and super weird to find on its own. This is the rear hold down bracket for the "transistorized" ESC box. The boxes are few and far between, but for some reason, never have the mount...

Finally got around to refurbing some wiring on my 410K and G11 ESCs.
Then began printing some Tamiya car stands. Have several in both Grey and White that I will be posting for sale soon.

I fixed the chassis yesterday. The profile is now in line with the real one. I still need to check the full length, but both rear part (gearbox) is now matching original parts, and my center part should be almost fine as well. And then some of my linked files went mad... Actually one mainly went bad...

That's why I always do test strips with lexan scraps. That way, you can test different backing colors.

Maybe try putting different color pieces of paper behind the paint to get an idea.

That still can be done! Do some spray outs on scrap pieces with different backing colors until you achieve the result you're the happiest with for the final product.
