Re: Started something else today...
I did a simplified bodyshell based on the Shkee DB-1 bodyshell I have in hands right now... It's missing some details, but the target is not here to make a mold, as this bodyshell is available (mine fome from Delta plastic and I found it on ebay). https://i.imgur.com/P0aQEhz.png A first rendering is...

Re: Practicing some space themes on lexan
Woke up kind of excited to make art  Spraying Kyrlon clear polyurethane first and putting non polycarb paint colors over it makes cool effects. I’ll be testing the durability by bending different dried paints sandwiched between the urethane on the plastic. https://i.postimg.cc/1tQpXSzc/D00-CF53...

Not a Hornet, Not a Rockbuster - Academy Minicraft Lazer
Screenshot_20240218-182146_Gallery.jpg This is an Academy Minicraft Lazer, a Hornet knockoff from the 1980's, that I finished restoring a few weeks ago. I picked it up for $20 on Offerup from a guy who listed it as a "Kyosho Hornet" and completed the restoration for under $100. Screenshot...

Panda Pandamonium Buggy
In 1987 Global Hobby Distributors released the Panda 1/10th 2wd off-road buggy. Manufactured by Vericom and imported from Tiawan the Panda was Vericom's version of the Nikko Rhino. Constructed almost exclusively out of ABS plastic the Panda's tub style chassis supported a lower a-arm fixed upper lin...

Re: Panda Pandamonium Buggy
The panda vehicles came RTR and as kits if I remember right. Some years back the parts weren’t selling on eBay so I made a very local seller an offer and bought them all. Not long after that a seller in France had the body, sticker kit, wheels, controller, and some other parts. I want to say it was ...

My Childhood Blackfoot
I've mentioned this a couple times in other threads but, my brother had been storing my childhood Blackfoot for the last 20 years or so and I just found out he had it about a year ago. Got it back from him last Thanksgiving and went over it to figure out what it needed and a significant portion of m...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Got my steps in today by walking one of the pedestrian bridges across the James River in downtown Richmond. The bridge I am walking on is actually an old railroad bridge, which was actually built on top of an adjustable dam that directed water to a canal used by the electric company, and produced po...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Picked up a Wild Willy just for the tires, and paid about what the tires are worth these days. It will end up being a project at some point in the future as I have always wanted a M38, but for now, it is just a set of tires.

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
Marui Hunter is on the program this week-end... I did proceed yesterday evenning with some test prints to validate the chassis... While modeling the Galaxy, I identified where was the 1.5mm issue I was suspicious about. I did a cut of the front area, added a marker for the bodymount position and a 1...

Landjump 4D
Hello everyone, it’s been a while. I’ve just purchased a Landjump 4D. It hasn’t arrived yet so I’m waiting with anticipation. I’ve always fancied one of these and this one came up so decided to take the plunge. I plan on restoring it and adding it to my now mainly Tamiya vintage collection from the ...

Re: The dog thread
I just can't do it all anymore. I'm teaching Eddie starting with tinkercad and he will be doing my cad work in the future so I can concentrate on more important work.

The Motor cap is done...

As expected, it should require a bit of rework on the lateral body cut

Tomorrow, the focus will move to the roll cage and bodyshell for the prototype...
