Tamiya King Cab/Tyco Bandit Radio Control Car Action Magazine Tribute!
If anyone knows me, I am a huge Tamiya King Cab and Tyco Bandit fanatic. I really love the yellow King Cab that was featured in the 1990 Radio Control Car Action Magazine, so this is just a little tribute truck I created with a Bandit. Im really proud how they turned out and are now a part of the co...

Re: Tweaking The Mystery Machine
The brackets for the front lower shock mounts worked out well. For the upper brace, I modified the ends to have hex pockets for the shock stud nuts. Both solved the front end build problems and the front suspension moves in a normal, predictable manner. The steering throw with the bigger servo saver...

Re: Tweaking The Mystery Machine
It's a much improved runner and a satisfying basher. The steering is good, the wheelies are not overpowering and have sort of turned into a sprinter/chock style launch, and overall it's a lot more stable. I think it's pretty much done, at least until some way to better control the gearbox pivot come...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
I did some splits and tried to make them in the smartest possible way considering what I'm trying to acheive... The side pods requires to be removed at the end, so they will be separated at the seam line between the main body and the side pods, making the split less visible in the vacformed body (ho...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
I modified some bits of the moulds - removing some useless material, and making sure we can print this sitting on a flat face while ensuring nice finish all along the areas in contact with the vacformed sheet... https://i.imgur.com/DYvfIkg.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/DvrBDa5.jpeg Some supports will be ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I found a new 19D a few years ago, then this 19S popped up last week. These early 1990’s motors with ceramic shafts are really cool.

Not a replica just spare parts thrown together, just put shocks on it for the first time.

Traxxas Bullet Refresh
Started into a Bullet refresh this weekend. Original plan was to go all out, and get the best of everything, but found out most of the parts I had (from two parts cars) cleaned up pretty well, so just decided to refresh it, and only replace what was really needed. As I found on my Slegehammer, Traxx...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
Worked out a 4 part chassis, or 3 parts considering the last one is an addon... https://i.imgur.com/xuwbgyJ.jpeg And that should print on one single plate in 8 hours on my X1C (PLA - it would be longer with PETG or ABS)... https://i.imgur.com/Fii33EB.jpeg The way I broke down the chassis was basical...

Re: Traxxas Bullet Refresh
She is mechanically complete. The body is a few days out, and then I need to figure out the plan with the roll cage. I almost don't want to do anything with the body and leave it as-is, because let's be honest, its not the best looking body out there. The only new parts used on this car are: shock t...
