Re: TAG Navajo (Pro)

Front bumper and underguard made from Kydex. It's based on a Pro 10 bumper. It'll do a good job of protecting the pivot ball screws.

Re: My next dumb question

So I want to order some Fan RC reproduction RC 10 gold shocks but I'm surprisingly ignorant considering my length of forum membership, they list them in inches and I'm fine with that bit but is it the throw they are measuring ? I'm planning on fitting them to a Mardave meteor and it looks like the ...

Re: My next dumb question

The length listed is how associated refers to them so it is quite confusing for sure. The original rc10 with short front arms came with .56 front and 1.32 rears, and the rears used tubing or spacers (5/8") to limit travel The CE/Team cars came with .71 front and the same 1.32 rear limited The w...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I have enough RC10 buggies. I will not buy any more. I will not buy any more. I will not buy any more. I will not.... hey, that's a nice little survivor Edinger. I don't have one of those yet... 🤪

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I had already drilled the chassis for the standard steering servo mount location, so this building it as a standard gold pan seems right. Well, sort of standard. :D

Re: Project Hyper Hornet

Finished the front end (...finished?) with some Dubro 2-56 sized ball links that accept 4-40 thread turnbuckles and a pair of Yokomo 42mm steel turnbuckles. The front end is an improvement if you're used to a stock Hornet front end, and it is good enough for some bashing fun now. . 1000011737.jpg . ...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - June 2024 ** - Winner - Frankentruck

I wish the Hornet will raise up into battle for 3rd. The anodized parts look better the more I look at. The nerf and sway bar seems originally belong to Panda / Graupner Cyclone. But the shocks do not. Despite that, the colour matching is very good. Maybe the chunky back bumper prevents better place...

Factory Works Ten4.1 project

OK OK even I got caught up in the last MIP "announcement". Should have known. So, lets do it again. The Ten4 was good, but the parts are just all out of date. The B44 front axles especially. Materials have vastly improved. Ideas have improved. Announcing the Ten4.1 I started by completely ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

The use of green slime is highly recommended. While the RCPS variety is rare, AE still offers it as p/n 1105

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

Came out of work this evening to this. It turned its head right toward me. It reminded me of the book Mantis by Richard La Plante. A very underrated book imo. Yes, my car needs a wash bad...

Tucsonan's Desert Dirt Machines

This is my rebuilt RC10 Graphite. The shocks, turnbuckles, body and battery box are modern. Pretty much everything else is original or vintage hopups that I bought between 89 and 93. desert-buggy.jpg cactus-buggy-sm.jpg Details: The Buggy 1989 RC10 Graphite kit number 6030 This was the ball bearing ...
