Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Always good when the postman visits..... today's haul: Some M05 upgrade parts, a pack of three Cougar Classic re-re decals, and a Cougar Classic ballraced steering set. M05 parts for future builds (and because they were sooooo cheap!), and the Cougar stuff is for my Vintage Bash builds - just nobody...

RC10Talk logos by Dangeruss - Choose your favorite
Member Dangeruss graciously designed some RC10Talk logos for us over the past month, and we would like to get your opinion on your favorite one. It's not set in stone what they'll be used for but likely on promotional items, and here and there. It's always a good idea to have some more available sin...

Shapeways Reopening
Got curious about what was going on with Shapeways... As I expected in early July when they declared bankrupcy, the same people that ran Shapeways reopened the company under a different name (Manuevo) in the Netherlands where Shapeways started. Also, the Shapeways.com domain was renewed on 8-15-2024...

Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar
Before anything else, I decided to print a differential to check everything was fine in the design. https://i.imgur.com/bQUyuZR.jpeg The diff works, and it is no surprise... https://i.imgur.com/5KXRGfH.jpeg I did an adjustment on the wheel carrier (I could have done it somewhere else, but this was w...

Re: guess what (the game)
Not to derail the topic but no it’s 1 motor in a 2wd.
But it’s the same chassis as another truck that does have two motors and 4wd… the Twin Detonator

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
This was using the 0.2mm layer height, or the fastest setting. Very little supports to clean on this. https://i.imgur.com/ilChk21.jpg https://i.imgur.com/BZE4vQE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lh1tUg1.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lllniGz.jpg Have more filament coming tomorrow, and then I'll print the dune buggy...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I got stuck into this pile today and gave it a jolly good raking. It finally looks like a fairly decent berm. Over the next three days it will get hammered smooth with the soil tamper and eventually oiled.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I got rather wet and soggy at the meldrum bar track. Also drove through a puddle that was a big larger than I bargained for and injured my hornet. It will probably be fine once it dries out though. So will my shoes.

Schumacher CAT XL 2WD (T402) for vintage racing
Even though I’ve been lurking around with CATs since autumn 1986, I’ve not come around to post a build of one of my absolute favourite rc platforms on RC10talk – HIGH TIME! Of course many threads on here from before, but here goes my own take on a CAT. Hopefully contributing to the information alrea...

Re: Schumacher CAT XL 2WD (T402) for vintage racing
Yes indeed. Hardly saw the 2WD on tracks back in the eighties, but it will be interesting to see how it performs on tight high grip tracks. That’s why I wanted to take on this particular build, and there are some specific assets to the XL from the XLS I want to investigate on the track. I'll come to...
