Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - April 2025 ** - Winner - GrePo
That cat was used in old Schumacher manuals, sometimes just for fun, sometimes to bring special attention to a tricky build step or provide a helpful tip.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 7:32 am I don't recognize the cat, but I like that it knows how to handle a screwdriver.![]()

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
This little guy was just hanging out so I snapped his pic. They seem to be fairly uncommon to most of the USA, anyone else got Rock Chucks? Basically a 10 pound squirrel

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
I don't mean this to be a sad story, but I spent the morning helping a very old friend clean up his mom's basement. His brother who passed away way too young a couple of years ago had his bedroom/studio down there. Whole place was pouring classic 80s punk. Couldn't help but share.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
No pic but on the subject of wildlife, we had a lone turkey being super annoying today. It kept coming up on the deck multiple times even after scaring it away. Then I was standing in the kitchen when out of the corner of my eye I see something through the front room window. The turkey flew up onto...

vonMarshall stepping into the dark side of RC10 from the safe cuddly world of Tamiya
Hi all, 1st post here. Kicked off my RC habit in 1982 with a Tamiya Sand Scorcher, saw the odd Kyosho but never an RC10 in real life. I feel back into RC back in 2002, stumbling across a Tamiya 959 on ebay, sending $500 in cash to the seller in Japan (no Paypal in those days!), waiting nervously for...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
3D printing is incredible! But I don't think this roof can be smoothed out, this Bus model was pretty inaccurate/rough overall, was worth the experiment though. https://i.imgur.com/PDjoh0V.jpg Got the wheels on the 3D Buggy, calling this done. https://i.imgur.com/Vy3vIzD.jpg Thanks again XLR8 for yo...

Re: Tamiya Super Champ
Great write-up! I was 13 when I saved up enough money to buy this kit. It's actually kind of wild to think back on how this single purchase developed skills that would guide me down paths in both my personal and professional life for the last 42+ years. I have 2 ebay finds in my collection. One will...

Re: Robb's Bolink Invader O/R
Got into the decals. Pretty much a Greenwood Corvettes tribute theme. Actual colors came out a little more "Hot Wheels" than I think I like, but overall good with it. Still need to correct some paint issues, and get into the bumper, and should wrap it up.
