New project

After finishing up my giant 1/5 scale monster truck build back in the spring I had told myself that was going to be the last project/build for a very very long time. Guess that idea lasted all of maybe 6 months  I really couldn't help it though. I have been wanting a set of Freestyle Rc axles f...

I usually narrow my choices down to two models and then decide towards the end f the month....

There are some extremely awesome looking cars here! Im not a buggy man but this is impressive.

level of detail is incredible.

Im going to need a few evenings to decide!!!

Re: Pan car identification needed

Got the esc and receiver installed. I didn't wire the servo because this isn't the one that will be used (I need a different servo saver). I don't normally use the Anderson/Sermos connectors for batteries or directly wire the esc to the motor but it seemed right on this car. Screenshot_20211024-2043...

Re: Making Aluminum Parts Like New Again; I.E. Clean But Not Shiny

The lazy-man technique that has worked the best so far is vibratory tumbler with green resin pyramids. The parts below were a bit rough, and all I did was run them trough an ultrasonic, rough sand the high spots, then threw them in the tumbler overnight. I have about 5 minutes of actual work on them...

RC300 - McLaren - Yes, it's not an RC10DS

The Associated RC300 BD (Ball Differential) - Developed in 1979. This fine specimen was built in 2008 using new parts (as stated in Ebay ad, lol). The oldest RC I have is my originally purchased in 1994 RC10GT. I've only read and seen the these old school nitro pan cars in the RC CarAction magazine...
