Re: Thundershot or Thunder Dragon best mods or adjustments
Well, let's see if I can remember what it was like racing the Thundershot against Yokes, Optimas and other 4wd Tamaiyas... First of all, get ball bearings. I could never afford 'em and it wobbled around the track like an elephant looking for a place to die. Second, buy a decent modified motor. The o...

Hello from Martha's Vineyard MA USA
Hi fellow RC lovers. My formative years were spent building and racing RC cars. My first hobby grade car was a Tamiya Hornet which I bought essentially the day it came to the local hobby shop in early 1985 or so. I had my eye on a Grasshopper and the shop owner steered me in the direction of the Hor...

Re: 1994 ‘Faux-komo’ Repo 3d printed & Non-OEM Parts
I was personally really impressed with the parts, still learning about the different material types and believe Mr. Ed has made recommendations for type to use on a runner...once I find the outline I will include here for reference for those of us that are still learning. “As always, I strongly reco...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
A couple weeks ago at coxbros1 and TheDiamondOne's place. This is the display Derek has at his place. None of their modern racers or monster trucks in the main display. The meticulous placement of different colored LEDs to accentuate the individual cars really makes a difference. You can really gras...

Re: "Oranging" On FX-10 Chassis?
Had a little time to experiment, and this is one of the results. The left side of the right chassis has been sanded from 500-2000g, all wet and pretty quickly. The left chassis is "new" but obviously aged. Results are that it took 500g, maybe 600g, to cut through the initial layer of all o...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Walmart just delivered my new 40qt Sterlite bins for organizing my projects (they currently all get intermingled) and my new motor storage cases. The bins just happen to be big enough for a Kyosho box. I wanted the 30qt, but they were sold out everywhere. Now glad I went a little bigger.

RC10 Basher CNC
Hello friends of the RC10 I'm alway in doubt wether I shoud use my RC10s in bad conditions (dirt, mud, snow, skatepark...). It would be a lot of fun, but it would also be a shame to destroy original parts. So I bought a CNC Machine and I will build some "Basher-RC10"s for my Hobbyroom. Big...

Re: "Oranging" On FX-10 Chassis?
Well, the first chassis turned out better than expected giving that I had to sand out the spots on it that I still don't understand. All of the flat spots were sanded and polished, and all of the low spots got a Salon Care 40 Creme treatment for about 8 hours (4 each side), and I am 90%+ happy with ...

I've got an early Ofna Ultra LX Pro. It was a nitro truck that I converted to GT8E spec. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51975641427_f92b4c3777_k.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51977210620_517eb6df23_k.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/7872/47288262362_a8c961b1be_k.jpg https://live.stat...

Re: The dog thread
So, my wife sent a sample to a "dog DNA" facility a couple of weeks ago, and we got the results today. Now, we only adopt mutts and nothing near pure breeds, so we shouldn't be too surprised by any results we get. And we got a fighter on our hands!!! 25% Amer. Pit Bull 20% Rottweile...
