I've been watching for a reasonably priced carcass for a Hornet project. What I ended up with is a nicely upgraded former shelfer. In the Toy Story scheme of things, I'm a bit more of a Sid than an Andy, so this will meet the need nicely. It's shelfer days are done. 😁 . PXL_20220527_130708540~2.jpg
I haven't worked in CAD since long long ago in high school and it is nothing like we had then. I would think with modern computers and software would be an easy scale up here to 1/10? The hard work is done. One can dream, but this is awesome! I’d be willing to bet they modeled it in 1/10 first and ...
I used to have a close on a Zilla 2 chassis I sold 7-8 years ago and have since regretted. Anyway this popped up on the local CL about 20 mins away from me and at a reasonable price so I pulled the trigger. When I got home there were some killer extra goodies in the box. Not fully assembled as some of the original Truss Pan Head to fasten the wheels were overrided ind the Philips head and need to be replaced. I did not took pictures during the test of the rear gearbox. I spoted instantaneously 2 big mistakes and one smaller: - the top of the gearbox was off of 1.5 millimeter, which explain partly my rear input rod issue colliding the top chassis - the rear extension that aims to fix the roll cage was off...
