Re: Making a carbon fiber chassis the novice way
Thinking about it a bit I actually need to make sure the nose piece fits properly and that will have to define the centerline of the car. 2DEA568A-7BDA-4670-BAB9-0F96010A5071.jpeg The holes I sketched yesterday line up with the holes on a donor nose plate E55319B4-3176-4367-A4F5-64DF94634582.jpeg Th...

Re: Bormac's Nichimo Midships 443 WDS - An unexpected project
Second 23 hours print of this project, I really want to make sure my dims are right before I can send the car and parts back to Jason. This time it is much better https://i.imgur.com/FtX9IY8.jpg And I put the gearbox in the chassis with the propeller shaft to make sure about everything... It fits :)...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
I feel like today was a milestone in my life. The day when I retire the extension ladder, and set up my own personal masonry scaffolding!
This is literally a proud day!

Another A&L team truck prototype build
Hey all, welcome to my A&L Team Truck builds, I wasn't sure where to put this but since #5 of 5 is here I thought I would keep them in the same area. The trucks are #2 of 5 and what I’m guessing is #1 of 5. This is a special one for me, I’ll be keeping one in the collection and most likely let t...

Re: UK Lightweight Racer
I actually have an early Penn Models advert here, which details their Penn Jackal bodyshell.... available in standard and lightweight formats. It also shows you how common these cut-away chassis were.... as they also advertise the very chassis liners I have in my car here. These were pretty vital wi...

Re: A new project - Nichimo Spirit FF - The first of a kind
They are 3 parts... But I did something wrong with the model at that time : I was not thinking printing, and I probably worked too fast, and forget an extrusion on the two parts that goes around the ball and snap in the chassis : it's missing a bit of material, and therefore, the nylon is too flexib...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
Well, much like Frankentruck, my go-to ESC throughout all of my racing days was a Novak T-1X. I started out with it in my 870c in around 1988 and ran it right up until i stopped racing with my works 91 in probably about 1995. it never once failed me or let me down, remained competitive and i still h...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
Great thread idea. This is my holy grail ESC, that I managed to pick up a couple of years ago in new condition - a Century Systems OZIFET. I had one of these in the late 80's in my PB Mini Mustang... was my first ESC (you know what they say, you never forget your first!). I think these were made in ...

Re: Marui Samurai 4WD - Another SilverTriple's journey...
The track: https://i.imgur.com/gPyhj9I.jpg https://i.imgur.com/4QvAGum.jpg As you can see, this is the typical track you would find here back in the eighties (the club in Belley is mainly targeted for leisure off road). There is also an onroad track (asphalt pacman type). I did not have the M06 with...
