Beater thread.
I put together an old stock motor beater for my kids to play around with. I let them paint over an old body I had, as you can see... :D After they get the hang of it, I have another all white parts gold pan to put together that will be much nicer to look at. This is the first hoopty I've built to pl...

Re: Getting an old abused car running again.
Your car has come a long way. I cleaned up my brothers car and got it moving for the first time since 1988. I learned a lot and still am a newbie. Enjoy the car and hobby.

Re: RC10T cleanup and repair
no, still a stealth. It lacked universals and a graphite trans brace as well as a few other little things vs a later 7035 truck. It would have come with both narrow and skinny fronts, three piece wheels, steel front axles, a B stamp chassis (offset battery on very early trucks, centered on later) an...

This is exactly how I went from 1 RC10 to 8 in less than 2 weeks.

Total beater build
Background: Never owned an RC10 it was what I always wanted when I was a kid. Had a used Tamiya Grasshopper I upgraded to a Hornet. Then I bought a Tamiya Fire Dragon 4wd new. Ran those for years in the early 90's. Never raced but had a few friends that did. Tamiya Blackfoots and the original RC10's...

Re: My RC10 (runner)
Hi R16, this is your first post so welcome to the forum. That's an interesting car with an interesting mix of vintage and new parts. With the battery mounted so far forward, you must have a high front/rear weight bias. Have you ever weighed the car? Also, the linkages attached to the rear bulkhead a...

Re: Vintage RC-10 - worth restoring to running condition?
That’s a perfect car for a runner. I would put a modern 2.4 ghz radio but stick with a mild brush or brushless motor

Re: Championship Edition street Basher
I have a couple runners using that motor and that are similarly setup - I'd say about the only thing you might want is titanium turnbuckles for bashing durability, the steel ones pretzel pretty easily when bashing at 35mph

Re: Championship Edition street Basher
For a basher, I'd probably get some heavier duty ball cups as well. I believe that the RPM cups are available in three different lengths, allowing some flexibility in turnbuckle lengths and the ability to gain some more thread engagement. Space provided, I like to have ball studs with enough thread ...

Re: New 7001 RC10t build
Here is a couple photos with the body just sitting on the truck. I have since trimmed up the back of the body and have the rear spoiler cut and ready to mount as well.
