Re: Motor Collection - Old School Horsepower
That I engraving is factory but not all of them had it. I have WetMag II and a WetMag IV with a II and IV engraved in the same place.

Re: Early Nodis gearbox (Pre-Stealth)
Thanks for that info mate. I spoke to Richard Isherwood about that 4wd car and he told me that Nodis never completed it, which is a shame. I have a gearbox at the moment which is why I am trying to date it. Screenshot_20210318-152231.jpg Screenshot_20210318-152252.jpg Screenshot_20210318-152315.jpg ...

Re: Early Nodis gearbox (Pre-Stealth)
It looks to be just a pinion gear on a stubby shaft on the one side. Easy to replace, i guess. Reminds me a lot of the Brimod car set up.

Re: The Pinkomo 870c with WASP transmission
Slight tweak with the addition of a NOS set of Prolines. I think i prefer these than the original pink Yoke items.

Re: TOMY Intruder - now complete
So...... nearly 12 months later and here is a built up Intruder, complete with a spattering of rare alloy hop-up goodies. I have JamieB to thank for literally every aspect of this build. He really does know everything there is to know about these cars. It has a GPM finned motor mount and optional mo...

834B Newbie
Always wanted one of these, having been a total Yokomo guy bitd, but i started out with an 870c and just missed out on the 834b era. I got offered this example in a trade and jumped at it.... and it arrived a couple off days ago. It looks very very tidy indeed, although i do need a new yellow batter...

Re: The Pinkomo 870c with WASP transmission
I have been trial-fitting my black 870c bodyshell from my 1990 season, and my yz10 shell which i ran in 1991 to see which shape prefer, and i think the white yz10 shell really suits this build. I have mag shots of this shell from the Radio Race Car Series and as such it means quite a bit to me for s...

Re: 1986/87 Supercharge Hotshot
Just when i thought i had actually finished a build, another cool piece pops up! Somebody posted this shortened Hotshot prop shaft with a one-way roller on a different post of mine (am building an FTD Racing Products Hotshot), and then very kindly gifted it to me for my build. I have never seen this...

Laser Mini Pro esc 1989
As I have been reminiscing about the British heatsink ESC era, and steadily collecting up a few Demon and Nosram esc's, I have started also looking into Laser offerings, mainly due to a build I am working on which originally pictured in late 80's mags with a Laser esc fitted. I somehow quickly went ...

Laser Thermal Charger 1986 / MkII 1989
I used one of these for many years back in the day - probably my fave charger. Oh so simple.... I recently picked up this pair - one from the legend that is Richard Isherwood. He told me Glyn Peglar had revised the thermal sensor bulb on it to something slightly less vulnerable. Both still work perf...
