Re: Composite Wing (spoiler) !?!?
These were made by Composite Craft.
I used to run them on my indoor Mid carpet racer and still have a couple of them. More recently I was actually sent a brand new one for my Mid rebuild.
As you say, very strong and absolutely feather light!

Re: Revolution Motors
OK, I am going to add some of what I know of the Revolution motor range, having looked into them for a while. Back in the day I had a 17triple early yellow label Revolution motor. The early Yokomo-based motors without the gold fins of the later Yokomo models were the normal magnet versions. The chan...

Re: Revolution Motors
Here are a pair of Revolution Insane 15Doubles.... one of which I have purchased very recently. Note the 'I' etchings. Obviously these are in the Dry Magnet early non gold fin Yokomo format. I have wanted one of these since around 1988!

1980 Demon 2 speed controller
Going back a bit here.... almost to the beginning of Demon. This is in remarkable condition, with the original dating sticker still intact - '802 330' indicating a Feb 1980 build date, unit number 330. The Demon 1 was forward only, the 2 had reverse. I also managed to find a mag review for these uni...

Another MMS 4wd Concept Car, and an MMS 2wd
OK, so I got lucky again. Around a week ago a member of one of the Fb groups I frequent pointed me towards an eBay auction which he suspected might be of interest to me..... it was! The sale detailed an MMS-machined RC10 which, if you have read my thread on 'The Concept Car 4wd' you will recognise t...

Cool peel back bodyshell art
Along with my recent MMS car score, this shell was included hidden within the pile of bits. It was obviously painted but never used as it still needs trimming. When i first saw it i thought it wasn't finished and stuffed it into my bag, but upon closer inspection realised it was the finished article...

1986 'Penn Models' Touchtronics VF8 (V-FET) ESC
I have touched upon this ESC in my MMS thread just now as this is what came installed in the red MMS chassis car. It is certainly from the British heatshrink era, but when I saw it I had zero clue what it was. The extremely neat soldering on the reverse was a notable feature, as was the copper board...

Re: 1986 Touchtronics VF8 (V-FET) 'Penn Models' ESC
Well.... after some deep digging by another friend who has a vintage mag stash (oh MATRON!) it turns out that the VF8 was actually marketed as a Penn Models ESC (my local RC shop bitd). Really chuffed! Penn Models advert from Dec '86 Radio Race Car along with a Brimod promo too. 256046722_2738418346...

Re: Another MMS 4wd Concept Car, and an MMS 2wd
You've always got such cool vehicles, stories and information. Thanks for sharing! Yes, this tasty pair are quite special indeed. After a little digging... the mystery 'VF8' ESC turned out to be what was marketed as a 'Penn Models ESC'... on sale from 1984 - 1986. The infancy of the FET era. Penn M...

Re: Another MMS 4wd Concept Car, and an MMS 2wd
Yes, I had spotted that. It also mentioned the wide front tower which also came in the bundle of spares. Turns out Penn Models was the sole UK distributor of D&D Graphite parts..... so there is the answer in black and.... er.... orange. 256097355_423331122713316_4966209310237746060_n.jpg But the...
