Re: TAG Pro10 mag review car with options
How come u don't enter botm anymore?...u have great/rare cars Dunno really. I find the one win a year rule puts me off a lot. I won in Jan a few years ago and not even being able to enter for the rest of the year was really quite depressing! I won’t be entering in the early months again. Plus I pro...

Re: TAG Pro10 mag review car with options
I haven’t fitted the attack angle kit yet. I was too excited about sourcing the original shell and getting the stickers right on that. It is on my list of things to do though!

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - July 2023 ** - Winner - dinglem
Original 'Race Prep' AYK Radiant Mid conversion – one of the rarest cars in my collection I would think. They produced less than 50 of these 'Race Prep' conversions (according to Steve Dunn) before AYK approached them about making it an official kit, thus bringing about the Pro Radiant. The '87 Roms...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - July 2023 ** - Winner - dinglem
There's a lot of entries I'd like to vote for this month. I know the AYK has really nice bodywork, but I really think not showing the underbits is not doing it justice. Sure there's a link, but I would like to have had that view of it here. Hopefully it has an AYK motor under there. 😉 I did deliber...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Got a few motors that I've never seen before! I've heard of Light Speed but never seen these cans or end bells before. Interesting to see an aluminum end bell with a hold drilled in it? Anyone know much about them? These look very Checkpoint-ish to me. Certainly the aluminium endbells with the old,...

Re: Pre-Platinum Checkpoint 20Double
So this bad boy got sent off to motor guru Glyn Ward for a full strip and rebuild. He skimmed the comm for starters and checked the magnets. The magnets were spot on, and he told me he expected this to be the case as they are early sintered ferrite and obviously not the later wet magnet version. The...

Re: Anyone repair ESC's, or know of someone who does?
I use a guy in the UK called Ian Mullaney. He is on Fb if you want to look him up. He has told me I am ok to pass on his details. He has rebuilt multiple esc’s for me including Demon, Novak, Tekin, Laser, CS, Marfet and Victor Engineering.
He’s the man.

Re: CAT SWB Box Art Brimod shocks
You always seem to find such cool and rare parts. I can always spot one of your builds because they all have a similar feel to them. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but they always seem to ooze with vintage goodness. Those beautiful aluminum wheels don't hurt either, lol. Cool shocks. Glad you got...

Re: CAT SWB Box Art Brimod shocks
I have posted this info on the Brimod Prototype thread as somebody asked me the same question over on that thread a few years ago, but in summary:- From what i gather from my research (and memory from bitd), the Brimod shocks as we know them were around in late '86, with an earlier version without t...

Re: CAT SWB Box Art Brimod shocks
Here we go - i knew i hadn't imagined it. Later in '89 it looks like they are for the 1/8 Kyosho Burns. There is clearly some sort of link up between Brimod and this new model shop as they seem to be advertising a lot of their products, and the 'Prostyle' name is being used for the shocks. I have ne...
