I thought this was interesting and just figured I'd share it here ...
FWIW, some of us have posted a link to RC10talk in the video's comments.

Re: Cool old reciept.
Very cool indeed. That's a keeper.
I wasn't aware that AE was selling direct to consumer back in those days. Thanks for sharing a little piece of history.

Re: The Associated DR10 street eliminator
Racing is racing - it's all good. I'm just very grateful that COVID-related cases are declining almost everywhere and that safety protocols can be relaxed to allow this kind of event to resume. We're not completely over this yet but it's been a long difficult time for everyone and life is slowly ret...

Re: TAG Coyote resurrection
When I awoke from RC hibernation and started dragging my RC stuff out of the attic back in about 2014, I was surprised that my old matched SCE packs still accepted a charge and they actually performed very well - for a time. After maybe a dozen cycles, the began to die - some faster than others. The...

Re: Tamiya Bruiser ends again?
I've decided to pass on this one but I'm very happy for those who have seized the moment and taken advantage of the Bruiser's price drop. I wish I could have anticipated that Tamiya was going to drop the price to a level that is more reasonable. As it stands, I already have 3 HG-P407's (an RTR runne...

Re: My Ultima 2019
I often forget the camera as well. No worries! Since you're running metal batteries, you'll definitely want to fit those insulators I mentioned. It's really not about the battery connection type, the insulators are meant to prevent the sharp edges on the aluminum chassis piercing the shrink wrap on ...

Re: Hyperdrive H10 super glue special
I have those little Delta shocks on the sprint car and the Dominator. The shock body, plastic cap and spring collar in your photo appear to be identical to what I have. Those shocks have internal volume compensation and that's what the small spring is for. Excellent fabrication work, those inserts l...

Re: Hyperdrive H10 super glue special
That chassis plate looks new!
Using boot polish was a brilliant idea.
I'm gonna try that with my old worn B2 chassis.
A big thank you for posting this

Re: Getting my old RC10 to run on grass (A stamp)
I think the car was designed to run on a dirt track with about 1 inch of ground clearance. If you lengthen the shocks to raise the car, this could cause problems with dog bone angle; increased wear, binding etc, depending upon how much droop is added. I think perhaps the best way to quickly gain gro...

Re: What did I destroy this time?
it's p/n 6255. There are a few on ebay but definitely not cheap. If you don't mind aftermarket, you might find a better deal. like these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-Steering-Cranks-For-Team-Associated-RC10-6255-Dhawk-Racing-DR-920038B/201533862346?hash=item2eec5ab1ca:g:QvcAAOSwnHZYb6GY You'll...

Re: What did I destroy this time?
I hear ya. Parts for these cars are becoming rather scarce and expensive.
Anyway, I've ran into a similar problem recently.
I needed a set of bellcranks for a very basic runner car I'm building and the only set on hand was broken - just like yours.
So I re-made the part from aluminum.
