We're very much hoping that you're okay after the earthquake.
99% certain this is an original wing. Holes appear to be about 27mm back.
Please chime in when you can and let us know how you are doing, okay?

Re: My Old RC10 6 gear Trans
This is helpful I know that stealth transmissions work but finding one are pricey. Looking to have some fun with it. Not too many 30 year old parts are available. Do you believe Associate will Re-Release The gold pan again? I really doubt AE will offer this car again. As I understand it, the toolin...

Re: Turbo Optima mid (SE???)
Wow, a challenge to rebuild perhaps, but what a great car it will be when it's finished. If the belt covers haven't been sealed well, the transmission could hold some very ugly surprises so be prepared. Is this your first Kyosho buggy Chuck? If so then welcome to the club. They make great cars. Very...

Re: Turbo Optima mid (SE???)
IMO...the Gold shocks were the best not to discredit anyone, cause 99.999999% agree but Me and "the diamond one" feel the Platinums are the best in the business. Although Chuck, those shocks have special tiny o-rings on the shaft as part of the variable dampening system, plus other stuff....

Re: Turbo Optima mid (SE???)
FWIW, I've owned 3 or 4 Mids and all of them were missing part OPM-9. You can see it here on page 13 of the manual. OPM-9.JPG I've never actually seen one but I think it's rubber. It's meant to seal the underside of the belt cover where the belt exits the rear gearbox - directly above the motor. Thi...

Re: RC12L NIB
What do you mean by "build it?" If you want something AE 12ish to run around the driveway, there are cheap 12s out there to buy and build and run. I will sell you one if it will keep you from building this one just to run around. If you want to build a "shelf queen" that is buil...

Re: Let's have some FUN!!!!
First run completed and just waiting for batteries to charge again. P1010769.JPG Despite my careful driving, I've already managed to put the truck on its lid. P1010770.JPG I ran it mostly on 50% power since I have a small track with a lot of trees nearby. Plus, I've never driven an RC this la...

One of the best looking RC buggy bodies of all time right there!
And your paint and graphics raises it to an even higher level.
This one's gonna be incredible!

Re: Old Pistol grip radio question
They were white way earlier than that futaba but I did just pick one up not long ago and it’s a treasured part of my collection. The white didn’t stay white for long, and luckily mine appears untouched (pic is not of mine but same radio) Jeff, it hasn't happened yet but one of these days I'm gonna ...

Re: Let's have some FUN!!!!
Well, apparently one of the two 3s Awanfi batteries has a lazy cell. :( It's extremely slow to balance charge and cell one discharges to .25 volts lower than the remining cells. I'm working with Awanfi now to get it replaced. I've been running the truck with throttle limited to 50% power. 50% is saf...

Re: Turbo Optima mid (SE???)
3 of the shock ends that were on the car are pretty torn up and one was missing altogether. I've been trying to replicate the elusive ADj-1 lower shock mount. At least without paying $40 plus for 4 new ones. May have to go that route, but for now I'll try to mod some ends. First attempt, not so goo...
