Re: Very young youngtimer ;) Hot Bodies D413
For polishing metal, I've mounted an 8" buffing wheel in a bench grinder. It can make aluminum appear nearly as reflective as chrome. Here's an aluminum push bar that I've made for the Bronco. The intent was to make the bar shine like the chromed bumper and grille and I think it comes very clos...

Re: Today, Right Now, Your Most Fun RC Surface Vehicle?
That's a great question.
At the moment, it's the Losi SBR2 - until something better comes along. I've been running the truck every day since it arrive a couple months ago - big fun!!

Re: Is Vaterra gone for good?
Well, hmmm. I was thinking they were probably black. The items kinda look black in the photo. With the right paint color on the body, the black grille and bumpers could look very good. Also, there is this mystery item posted with the replacement parts: Losi Camaro body parts.JPG The question; is it ...

It's small consolation but the only thing I ca say is thank you. I really admire people with determination and patience. I probably would have given up after the first day.

Re: Stealth Trans w/Gear Diff
I have been following this thread very interested. NICE WORK!! I thought I found the ideal ball diff for you, unfortunately it also is discontinued. It is a Losi and uses 46T instead of 45. Part number: LOSB3594 Maybe you can find one in the US. That would pretty much solve the issues of the diff h...

Re: Need help w/DHawk metal stealth case
Welcome aboard. :D Dhawk Racing products are made in China which really isn't the global center of excellence for precision fit and finish. In extreme cases when clearances are very large, I've also used JB weld to tighten the fit of bearings. Like CA and Loctite, be careful to prevent the epoxy see...

Re: RC10 Team car restoraion
Looks totally legit John -- like a real vintage race car.
I really like the paint scheme and the use of white and black wheels.

Re: My ultima pro
Wow, what a nice ride you have there! I need to order myself a set of those wheels - they look great on your car. "Have to say it is a joy to drive." I couldn't agree more. I've been running the wheels off mine the last few days (detail here https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&...
