Re: Anything 80s on the horizon?
Blitzer Beetles are only temporarily out, shows due next month. They were in stock a couple weeks ago. I was looking at those today. I'm thinking about ordering the Beetle when they are back in stock to make a Stadium Blitzer. I can order a re-pop Stadium Blitzer body and decal set from our friends...

Re: RC10DS - 1969 Camaro Redux (from HPI to Kyosho)
Well, that just looks amazing! The paint colors, stripes and decals are just spot-on. I also like that you've done the rear spoiler in matte black. Just perfect! By the way, while browsing MCI and TBG's product catalogs recently, I've discovered that they are reproducing HPI's line of vintage tourin...

Re: Built for the Shelf Versus built to Run
FWIW, like most of you, I tend to build an RC vehicle with a specific purpose in mind. For those destined for the shelf, some have electronics and are fully functional but many do not -- and I'm perfectly okay with that. I've recently stopped filling the shocks for shelf vehicles. I hate building sh...

Re: Birthday RC10
Very nice indeed! Happy birthday Chuck. Now the wife can tell everyone she bought you a Cadillac. Anyway, it's going to look great with that new JConcepts body. I recall having one of those funky Futaba ESC's many years ago. Not sure what happened to it but probably got traded somewhere along ...

Re: Hello, from Michigan
Welcome aboard. I'd visited this site for maybe 2 or 3 years before becoming a member. This is the best RC message board on the web, no doubt about it. I don't think I've ever seen a Grasshopper with a Blackfoot body -- that looks awesome!! I really wish someone would make that body in true 1/10 sca...

Re: Tamiya Nissan King Cab
I just picked one up as well but the frame is kinda beat. The area where the rear body posts mount is cracking near the chassis so Im gonna fab up some support so I can get it built up. Did you find another body for yours? If so can ya tell me where you sourced it? Hey Rider400, while we're waiting...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
The Stadium/Monster Truck obsession continues...
I got this from Liquid RC. The price was great and shipping was fast (ordered late Friday, arrived just after noon today - Wednesday).

Re: Outlaw Ultima truck purchase – my very first ST
Other than a couple minor details, the truck is finished. Here’s the chassis. The Futaba s148 servo was included with the purchase, a new HW 1060 ESC, new Futaba clone Rx, and a new Reedy Radon motor. I think the Reedy is going to be more than I want for this truck but I’ve fitted my smallest pinion...

Re: 2 piece gear cover ??
Oh, okay.
I was gonna guess Tuperware.

Seriously, I have never seen that "dust cover" until now. I reckon it's rare??

Re: Optima Mid Runner Budget Build to LWB conversion
The parts arrive a couple weeks ago and I've spent some time over the weekend getting them separated, inspected, cleaned and the holes tapped. Here are some photos taken during the trial fit. Re: Optima Mid Runner Budget Build to LWB conversion
Great achievement ! Generally with 3d printed parts holes tend to shrink a little , with home FDM printers I tend to increase the diameter by 0.2.- 0.3 mm so where I'd drill a 2.5mm for tapping an M3 thread with printing I'd make a 2.7mm hole for an M3 thread , if I'm making a hole for an m3 to fre...

Re: Optima Mid Runner Budget Build to LWB conversion
A couple new prints on order: Bumpers, knuckles and battery mounts with flat tops so they accept a lipo. Mid Knuckles bumpers and battery mounts.JPG And a gang of 8 belt covers that fit above the motor. The original part rarely comes up for sale and they are super expensive when they do. These 8 wil...

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
The salvaged bumper looks great Chuck. New ones rarely appear on ebay and they're always pricey. I seem to recall the last one I saw listed was maybe $35 or more. Anyway, if I see one listed, I'll send you a PM. This project deserves a new bumper - no matter the cost. This car is too nice for anythi...
