Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
I'm completely unfamiliar with the RC your building Dadio but I can appreciate the work you are doing to replicate parts for it; that's an extremely complex part. Your doing some very advanced design engineering work and I seriously doubt that the professionals who created this car a few decades bac...

Re: Gold Pan Drag Car
Very very cool Mr. Basher. 37 years and going strong, the RC10 is still showing its versatility. I'm currently building an RC10-based monster truck. BTW, a 1976 (or '78?) Ford Pinto was my sister's second car - her first new car. I still remember her receiving a recall letter to take the car back to...

Impulse buy; Axial SCX6
I had no idea Axial was planning to release this. I got an email from Horizon this morning regarding the launch, I watched the review videos (a ton of them seemed to hit youtube at the same time), then called my local hobby shop and pre-ordered a copy in silver (don't much care for the pea green but...

Re: painting advice Masking and Caps
I used the Tamiya masking sheets today and the results were less than spectacular. I did a two color (Tamiya PS16 blue/Duratrax white) and used the masking sheet for the windows. First, the PS16 followed by a light coat of silver to make the paint opaque. Then, remove the boundry mask and apply the ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Hmm. I've not seen that one before. It looks new, what are your plans? Today I got a MONSTER truck – just in time for Halloween. P1010942.JPG P1010944.JPG This my first kit from MST but I’ve watched Matteo build a number of trucks from them on his youtube channel and the quality seems pret...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I love the old Pontiacs and just had to buy this new Kyosho ‘67 GTO.. https://i.postimg.cc/MTDsrdz4/34728-FB7-C609-4241-BEB8-FAF840-A3330-B.jpg OOH, good choice!! I've been eyeing that one myself. I have the Fazer Mk2 '70 Chevelle SS from Kyosho and it's a great car; good speed and handles very nic...

Re: The Frankenbuggy
The YZ10 undertray will fit an AE Viper body. It just needs to be trimmed at the back - it's too long otherwise. The front 2/3 of the undertray fits the Viper body shape very well. We use this combination for Stealth '91 builds. I hope this was helpful. Here's a link... https://teambluegroove.com/co...

Re: Kyosho Optima build x2
I don't know if this will be helpful but you might have a look at the rear wheels on the Tamiya DT 01 Fighter Buggy. The wheel's design reminds me of those from the Optima Mid, they are 12mm hex drive, and if they are from the "Memorial" version, they are beautifully gold plated. My old bu...

Re: Rc10 Worlds rere rims for the old worlds car
A rim is a component of a wheel. Bicycles, for example, have rims that are connected to the hub via a set of spokes. Assembled, they make a wheel. If you're speaking about the cylindrical part that connects the tire to the axle, then it's a wheel. Also, it's "anyway" not "anyways"...

Re: Impulse buy; Axial SCX6
Ooh, very nice. Wow, that arrived quick! I thought it was gonna be next Monday. Did you notice how quiet it runs? Going down a slight incline, it's completely silent. Also, you'll want to be running slow on level ground before shifting gears. Removing and re-installing the body gets old real fast. I...

Re: RC300 - McLaren - Yes, it's not an RC10DS
Oh wow, what a beautiful example from the early years of RC. I'd reckon that with foam tires, no suspension and that nitro engine, this will require some very precise throttle control. It will be great fun, no doubt. My very first exposure to surface RC was watching cars like this run in the Penny's...

Beautiful Dadio, absolutely beautiful!
It's virtually indistinguishable from the original part.
Awesome work.

Re: Impulse buy; Axial SCX6
I guess if you're sent a free RC to test and review, you can destroy it if that attracts an audience to your channel. Kevin Talbot has built a massive subscriber base bashing his RC's to pieces. Some folks like that. Personally, I wouldn't intentionally destroy an RC even if it was given to me. I g...

Re: Ok maybe it is just a tad bit over geared
hahaha... Yeah perhaps but when that happens to my cars, I just attribute it to my terrible soldering skills.
