Re: 2019 Kyosho Turbo Optima re-release!
Makes me chuckle (a little!) that it's Dec 21 and we're asking the same questions about when the next re re TOs will be available...! Paul I think Kyosho has been experiencing more than their fair share of supply chain issues. Makes me wonder how they make payroll or keep the lights on when ...

Re: 6355 Rear arms
I always recognize these arms by the raised inner webbing. The standard arms are completely flat below the dog bone
All together, they are meant to be stiffer and less prone to twisting between the hub carrier and the shock mounting locations.

Re: 6355 Rear arms
The ejector pin marks alone make them vintage but I don't believe I've never seen a vintage short pin arm in white - only in black.
Just had a quick look at the 25 years thread and unless I've missed something, vintage short pin arms are always black there as well. Interesting!

Re: Optima Mid Runner Budget Build to LWB conversion
Well, I certainly hope what you are saying comes to pass. If it looks as good as their other re-re's, I'm in for two of them. So far, there's no mention of this on either Kyosho company sites. Just this kinda goofy guy posted something on his youtube channel - not sure if what he says can be trusted...

Re: Optima Mid Runner Budget Build to LWB conversion
It all seems very sketchy to me.
I'll believe it when Kyosho makes a formal announcement.
I hope that happens soon.

Re: Optima Mid Runner Budget Build to LWB conversion
Well, my activity here and on other RC message boards, viewing and commenting on youtube is as close as I get to "social media".
I don't have a clue what instagram is and have no desire to learn about it and I avoid FakeBook like the plague.

Re: Wondering about the new old buggies
I think it sorta depends on the car. I'd say that adding brushless power can amplify performance faults. Since you've posted your question in the Kyosho forum, I can tell you that I have a well used vintage Optima runner with updated running gear so it handles the brushless 10.5's power okay but it'...

Re: Ivan Stewart Toyota replica
When you get into the build, it’s actually quite impressive. Everything is well organized and the quality of the parts is outstanding. In fact, having built a fair number of kits lately from a variety of different manufacturers, I’d still rank Kyosho number one for parts quality, fit, finish, etc. b...

Re: Tamiya M06 - Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
Well that turned out great. I'm curious what that metallic paint looks like outside under sun light. Since this is a track car, I'd be tempted to leave those body posts long so they protect the roof from scratches during a rollover.  Anyway, the car is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for po...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)
@ XLR8, I had a look at the gearbox in the instruction manual, there is only one washer. ... I also note that all bearing kits I saw were mentioning 3 850 bearings, but I believe only 2 are required for the counter gear, and that replacing the metal bearing next to the big bevel gear on the right s...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)
That's an interesting decal sheet - i wasn't aware Traxxas was offering it. Back in my hot rod days (70's and 80's), I've bought parts from most of the manufacturers represented on that sheet. Really brings back memories. Anyway, here's what I'm doing for rear springs - FYI. I think they are RC10T f...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)
Yeah, apart from having only one o-ring, I think the dampers will be fine for this car. The problem is with the springs. I've read that CRP has offered a soft spring kit for the Frog that will also fit the WO but I prefer to use what I have on hand. Maybe, if I were planning to race my car, I'd cons...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)
When it comes to bumpers, I think it's entire subjective; there's no right or wrong. I typically don't installed bumpers on Ultima's or RC10's. Having a bumper on an RC buggy just looks odd to me. The 91 Stealth replica is the only RC10 in my collection with a bumper. So finally, here's the front da...
