Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Snagged a MRC Q-Tee Coupe, most of it - or Academy Wyvern :) take your pick on what to call it. Of course, I will violate it in unmentionable ways, cross breeding it with other manufactuers...LMAO, then give it a run or two. I've never heard of this model before but it looks interesting. It appears...

Re: Project RC10 Championship Edition!
Wow, Joey that car is super clean!!
Not sure which body it came with (you seem to have done your research) but, if it were mine, I'd use the body I liked best.
Whatcha got planned for her?

Re: Happy holidays from Seattle!
Hi Dan and welcome aboard. I've pretty much been hooked on RC since my Dad and I started tinkering with planes back in the early '70's. I moved to buggies in the '80's, took a 20 year hiatus ('94 - '14) but I'm back again and, hopefully, to stay this time. Anyway, glad to have you here and hope you'...

Re: Project RC10 Championship Edition!
Hey Joey, since you're planning to run the car, you may want to invest in a chassis protector. Having a scratched pan will greatly impact future resale value.

Re: Intro
Hi Doc and welcome aboard!
I hail from a tiny burg near Springfield Il. Been in Al since '96 (I came here for the Waffle House
). We have a lot of members from Il; I reckon RC was very popular in the Mid-west bitd.

Re: Factory Works 180* Steering Bellcrank Build
That seems like a good method. Your eyeball must be calibrated 'cause you appear to have nailed the shock cutout perfectly. Well done Nomad!!

Re: Rediscovering my old RC10
Hi Zipity and welcome to the forums. :D Happy you've been able to reconnect with a long lost friend. I have a couple Futaba 2.4 Rx's that don't have any antenna (at least not an external one anyway). My other Rx's have antennas that are extremely short. It's nice not to have to deal with that hassle...

Re: Rediscovering my old RC10
These wheels are pretty hot: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-2-Aluminum-Wheels-For-Team-Associated-RC10-Classic/283325338318?hash=item41f78192ce:g:KVoAAOSwcqxcLTMi:rk:1:pf:0 That said, my guess is aluminum is a lot heavier. Anyone know if they make this same style in plastic? I did pick up some JC Racin...

Re: Rediscovering my old RC10
Wow, those are some amazing looking wheels!! I've not seen them in plastic but I reckon the JC wheels are the closest thing. The spokes are really thin on those alloy wheels and I doubt that exact design in plastic would be sufficiently strong but I guess it's possible. Anyway, keep checking ebay; ...

Re: Rediscovering my old RC10
Cool! Vintage Futaba ESC, servo and Rx with G connectors... and a foam motor cover. A real time machine!!! You'll want to replace those plastic wing nuts with metal lock nuts on the wheels. Otherwise, it doesn't look like it will require much effort to make it road worthy again. Very nice!!

Re: Shining Star SSC 10 Build
Cool Nomad. I was wondering when you were going to get back to this build. Bet you had to blow some dust off.
What body will you use in combination with those wing mounts? Looking good!!
