Re: Turbo Optima mid SE

Looks great Chuck.
For me, the lexan belt covers are the worst parts on a vintage Mid. They're a hassle during assembly and difficult to create a dust-proof seal against the chassis plates.
The gasketed hard plastic covers on the re-re are an improvement.

Re: RC10T2 Ebay score

I like your plank system. While finding space is a problem, I wouldn't describe what I have as a problem. I'm a collector and we tend to have a lot of a certain thing. There are no plans to stop collecting (as long as I'm still breathing) and I do want to find more efficient ways to display the coll...

Re: Traxxas sending cease and desist letters to aftermarket companies then backing off.

I wasn't sure what had happened so I found this video a few days ago. I reckon this the guy does a very good job explaining the issue to those of us who aren't attorneys.

Anyway, it's old news now but you might find this interesting.

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE

One man's failure is another man's victory. To my eye, ALL of the ano work you've done on this car looks spectacular!

I can imagine this car displayed in an art gallery. It's incredibly beautiful. :D

Re: Create a Porsche 934 replica in 4 steps

For my curiosity, was there a specific reason that you chose the B4 hex front? Already have it? If starting from scratch, it'd seem better to start with something more readily available, like the Custom Works kit or something current. Yes, I was trying to work with parts already on-hand. I had stee...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

A big haul today -- well, big for me anyway.

A 993 body and light buckets from Tamico,

A Futaba S3003 and AE caster blocks from a couple trusted eBay sellers,

Some Kimbrough 114 servo savers from Liquid RC.

Re: Create a Porsche 934 replica in 4 steps

Thanks Chuck! Back in the day, I designed and built a rear motor, straight axle, pan car for oval racing - I wanted to try something different. It featured a 4-link rear suspension and beam front axle arrangement. I spent weeks building it and raced it one time. I really didn't like the handling so ...

Really nice work!! 8)
