For me, the lexan belt covers are the worst parts on a vintage Mid. They're a hassle during assembly and difficult to create a dust-proof seal against the chassis plates.
The gasketed hard plastic covers on the re-re are an improvement.

I like your plank system. While finding space is a problem, I wouldn't describe what I have as a problem. I'm a collector and we tend to have a lot of a certain thing. There are no plans to stop collecting (as long as I'm still breathing) and I do want to find more efficient ways to display the coll...

I wasn't sure what had happened so I found this video a few days ago. I reckon this the guy does a very good job explaining the issue to those of us who aren't attorneys.

Anyway, it's old news now but you might find this interesting.
