Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I'll probably look at Bandit universals, they are 5mm on each end. Might have to shorten them a little bit. Ah, okay, thanks. I considered Bandit universals for my Porsche build but I believe the axles are too large to fit touring car wheels. Or, maybe there was another reason - not sure, it was a ...

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
Yeah, I agree with Derek. Those Platinums look great as they are.
However, it's your car so build it your way. You'll never receive a thumbs down from me. You might even want to blue ano the shock bodies.

Re: Create a Porsche 934 replica in 4 steps
I’m using 4000mah batteries and after a 30 - 35 minute run, the motor is still only slightly warm. The taller pinion gear installed yesterday has yielded an increase in speed but I think there’s more left in that motor - maybe much more. It just needs more gear. I’ve been running the largest 32dp pi...

Re: Create a Porsche 934 replica in 4 steps
Sounds like it drives like a vintage 911 should, on the hairy edge of out of control! Haha… I had the same thought. Although I’ve never driven an actual Porsche, I can imagine how much fun that would be. I live about an hour from Barber Motorsports Park near Birmingham Alabama. By the way, if you’r...

Re: Create a Porsche 934 replica in 4 steps
The bent plates have been straightened, the wheels re-aligned and it's ready to go again.
I can run those heavy aluminum wheels until the replacement plastic Tamiya wheels arrive.
Bugs is happy.

Re: 3D Sets Landy Build
I was wondering what happened to this build.
I hope you're able to get back to it soon.
Along with everything else it does well, an FDM printer makes very convincing interior parts.
I remember seeing a close-up of the seats for Jeff's 3D Sets build - they looked like actual fabric.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
It's not pretty, but it fills a slot in my hit list. And now that I have it, that means another one cheaper and nicer should be popping up any moment. Maybe I should go wash my car too just to get the universe properly in motion. . PXL_20230520_201054823~2.jpg Every time I look at that motor, it br...

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
Looks fantastic Chuck. The colors do work together well. Ya know, at some point the chassis will be finished and you'll probably want to cap the project off with a nicely painted body. Unfortunately, that means covering most of the car making it appear to be just a nicely restored but otherwise ordi...

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
The car is looking great Chuck.
Something that should have been obvious all along has just struck me -- you're actually planning to RUN this beautiful car!!!
Please do your fans a favor and keep it away from the gravel??

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
The vacuum formed body looks great. Well done sir! I've been looking for a means to make a light-weight alternative body for the SCX6 (OEM and aftermarket body options are extremely limited) and your proof of concept definitely offers some hope. Inching closer to buying a printer - for creating mold...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I'm always shopping for cheap used junkers on ebay (emphasis on "cheap") but I've never had one arrive like this. P1010244.JPG The description says "RTR" and the seller was right. Batteries in transmitter, lipo in car, charged and plugged in ! P1010245.JPG  I literally swi...
